here's what happened, i get into my car, click the start button once, and then i realize it said "key not found" on the center console, which sometimes happened, except the key was in my hand, so i click it like 4 more times, until i realized the back cover and battery to my key had fallen off. I went and searched for the battery and latch, and then got back into my car, started it, everything is fine, until i realized my command system reads "anti-theft protection activated service required". the car drives and everything, but you just cant use anything from the COMMAND unit. I tried taking of the start/stop button and using the key instead to start the car, same thing.
anyone had this happen to them? i need some help !

THis normally happens when you try and force upgrade you command system.. most cases its the 2.5 that ppl download.

Do not try and enter codes to unlock it. after 4 or 5 tries even the dealer wont be able to unlock it for you.

Your dealer can help you .. they can reset it with Star./. GL
