what does pinging sound like?
been reading a few threads here re: pinging.. there are a bit of post asking - what does pinging sound like.. is it a beep/bleep, etc? recently i hear kind of a rattling noise when i'm accelerate hard using the paddle shifter (m-mode) - from the back it seems, then i checked the trunk if there's anything loose or something, etc, tightened the spare cover.. i think it happened a few times, i haven't driven it it M since.
i'm using the shell 93 octane.. is this normal? or something else i need to watch out for?

well.. for a moment there i thought i was driving a 911.. or an old beattle perhaps?
the question was how to know if its pinging. i posted the question as i dont know nothing about cars.. this forums helps newbie like me to know a bit.. i thought the rattling noise was from the trunk so i checked.. now reading about these pinging (and in certain circumstances e.g. accelarating) made me wonder if that rattling noise is the 'pinging' and not something from the trunk..
