Mine did the same thing. They took my seat apart and felt padded the crap out of it. It is now silent. Then also replaced the seat cushion.

 

Wow so I'm not the only one. How long did it take for them to fix your seat?

 

They found the squeak the first time I brought the car in, left it for the day and picked it up fixed. Not sure how long it took them but I suspect a while.

 

i know this thread is old, but im a newbie. my 2012 c63 has 500 miles on it and rattles my brains out, really let down. i had a 2009 c350 squatted on h&r coilovers before and way less rattle in the interior. i even had a massive sound system rattling the car and still way less. anyway i love the car and dont regret the purchase price of 80k cause this sucka rolls lol... does anybody have a fix to this or should i just deal with it?

 

So many rattles,.....in a Mercedes.....WHY IS THIS HAPPENING....it shouldn't be.

I have been on the fence between a C63 and CTS-V If you go on the Caddy forum site everyone over there *****es about rattles and squeaks too. I do not want a $70,000 Rattle Trap. I have owned 3 brand new Vette's and after a year they sound like they are going to fall apart. My 2008 SL550 is still rock solid. What to do

 

If you want to have very few rattles... IS-F. Minimal rattles... M3. Lots of rattles... C63/CTS-V. My C63 will be going back to the dealer at the end of summer and being dropped off with a list of about 5 squeaks/rattles to deal with.

If the decision is largely influenced by interior noise, etc, then I would go with an IS-F. You might luck out and get a C63 without rattles (some do) but it is a bit of a crap shoot IMO. If your decision is based on performance alone, then the C63 is a great choice and if it squeaks and rattles, turn up the music, turn down the window or put in ear plugs

I don't have any rattles on my C63 coupe but I have some in my c350cdi ever since they took the dash out to install reverse camera. I am not like what I use to be. I just ignore it now. With the c63 I just put it in S+ mode and just listen to the beautiful noise I paid so much for

I might be one of the lucky ones (no rattles...yet). I do notice a trend that everyone complaining about rattles owns a coupe. Is this true? Mine is a 4 door. Are there many 4 door owners that have been experiencing these problems???

 

No, my coupe does not rattle but my 4 door does, or more like the occasional squeak. That is all and I know a few with coupes that does not rattle.

Offtopic but I just found out one of my four springs for the cupholder is missing. There is a hole there. Change and small objects can slip through. What do?

My 2012 C63 coupe has been to the dealer 3 times for the same squeak/rattles. The navigation rattles at the left side contact point. When I hold the screen on the upper left it goes away when going over bumps but as soon as I let it continues to make noises.

The right rear area squeaks and rattles as well, now that I think of its probably coming from the 3rd brake light. Seems to happen when the cars heats up and music is on loud.

I agree with all above, mercedes made a nice car, and its a great performer. They really fell short with the interior fit and finish, I don't believe the realize how badly this car rattles.

 

Reading all these posts have scared me enough to stay away from a C63 at this time. I can't handle rattles. I had 3 different Vettes all brand new and after 6 months they sounded like they were going to fall apart. I said never another Vette because of that. I was embarrassed to take friends for rides because it sounded like the inside was coming apart. My 2008 SL550 is 4 years old and it is still solid. Looks like I will have to save up and get a new SL with the Bi Turbo. Maybe MB can get it together with the C class down the road. $70,000 + is to much for a rattle trap.

 

My car went to the dealer over 7 times for rattles everywhere.
Each time they fix one another one pops out. NOT THE DEALER'S FAULT WHO WELCOMES ME EVERY TIME. Clearly MB did an ugly job designing the interior of this car. I had many cheaper and equal cars including a c350 2009 that did not rattle....As opposed to many of you I can't live with it. I Will keep trying to fix them

 

If you really would like to own a c63 which doesn't rattle try test driving a before face lift model with p31 package still a nice car?

 

I have a 2012 and have not had issues so far so I am surprised everyone has had so many problems.

I will add that my other cars are a 6" lifted Avalanche, 2004 civic hybrid which I call the Flinstone-mobile but has car pool priveleges, and a new Sequoia. So maybe it is relative, though I will say the Sequioa is super solid all the way around.

 

Anyone ever think that it's not a MB build quality issue? It might just be the power and driving style that shakes the car down. I drive my car pretty hard, as I think most of us do. And after some time, things "rattle" out of spec. A lot of power in a little package. It's just a thought.

No issues with my 2012 either. Coming from a 2010 I think the build quality is definitely better in the 2012. That might not be saying much based on the issues I'm seeing in this thread!

Mine has a few squeaks from the console but nothing bad, the new one that is annoying is from the rear seats. Something with the folding mechanism is rattling but I imagine it will be an easy fix when I get around to bringing it to the dealer.

 

I have a 2012 sedan I bought a year ago and i have zero rattles. Traded my 2008 CLK350 in after 3 years and absolutely zero rattles in that also.

 

that must be what's causing the rattle in mine ! took it to service and only complained about the rattle in my door, he said that someone at some point took off the front door and broke the clips, had to pay for new ones. I just realized that it must have been them !
also i hear rattles from the dash and im beginning to think it's the camera install again ..

really sad, does the CLS 63 or E 63 deteriorate the same way ? to those who've owned/own these cars ?

 

Same thing in my car, I am waiting for my service A to be due in a few hundred miles to get this fixed and the terrible rattle from the drivers side B pillar right around the seat belt. It drives me crazy
