Does a 2012 C63 with Performance Pkg = 2012 E63 base?
Just curious. Considering buying a 2012 C63 with performance package and all the options, and its up to around $82,000+.
The 2012 E63 is a little more, but they have some good deals out there and come standard with more options. Plus the E63 new motor gets much better gas mileage (and I drive a lot each day).
Anyone compared the two or have experience with E63? Would performance be equal?

The E63 is the better performer in a straight line stock vs. stock. Plus, F/I can be tuned to make a lot of power and not require LTH's like the C63's N/A powerplant.
But, I don't know how they compare in the handling department.

I would presume the C handles better, but it's not actually that much lighter, stock, if I remember correctly.
The E will definitely obliterate it on the straights, though.

One big point is that the fit & finish on the E63 will be better - MB always staggers their power / materials / technology based on class & price. I'd try to at least test drive both before you decide.
