Talking Installed these today

I installed these today on my 2012 C63AMG. They are well made and VERY bright...Wish I had known a bit sooner about the group buy as I could have saved another $15! LOL

As complete units (with lens) they are a great deal at this price. Looking at the pics they look like they might be too bright for me.

Quite straightforward to install BUT...

In all honesty, these are just the right amount of brightness for the front and the rear maplights...And the color is true white and NOT bluish but the 2 little 194/168 bulbs for the rear maplight assembly that come in the package look and appear cheap and they are much bluer compared to the "panels" that are included in this package. I just replaced the 2 194/ 168 rears for the maplights with the ones from AZN Optics and they match the true white color of these panels. Those are also CREE by the way from AZN...

Another good thing about these panels is the nice distribution of light that these provide due to the separated 48 LEDs in each front panel (24 for the rear) as just the socket LEDs are too focused and the light is not distributed properly.

As far as install goes, the fronts are the "toughest" to do and the rears are a piece of cake...There is a great video for the rear maplight removal DIY...The fronts are are hard ONLY because the 2 little plastics covers that are part of the control unit are on WAY too tight and have real shallow tabs and if you are not VERY careful, you might end up breaking the lens covers! Get this, breaking these is still not bad, but you CANNOT get just the lens cover replacements even from Mercedes! They are sold as part of the WHOLE control unit assembly and they ARE a pretty penny like $273.00 for the part! So be CAREFUL and methodical when removing the front ones and you will be good to go. Part numbers are listed below and the 2012 one is the last one marked "NEW".

I took my time and made sure NOT to break the covers, but if someone does, here are the numbers you can search for on your favorite MB parts website.

Map Light Assembly part numbers:
204-900-47-01-9051 OLD
204-900-52-03-9051 OLD
204-900-18-04-9051 NEW
