Got my AMG key covers today :)
I know some of you have read my posts on the PL about sourcing a set of these new AMG key covers--they are going to become standard on some AMG models going forward. I got my hands on the first set to hit US shores.
Rumor has it that they add 25hp when equipped and I just confirmed it after coming back from a test run
I paid $100 plus $20 shipping from a guy in Germany. According to the seller, they are 100% OEM and I don't doubt it since the fit and finish is spot on. PM me if you're interested in buying a set and I'll send you the sellers contact info. A set comes with two key covers (one for each key) and the silver metal box.
Here's the pics:

I don't want to post the guys info on here, but if you PM me I'll send you his info.
The key also gets you access to the VIP room at all MB dealerships, just flash your key and you're in

People have already tried the part numbers and they are not available in the USA.
About one week.
You guys could put together a group buy if you'd like. I'm sure you'd save on the $20 shipping since the package only showed $5.50 from Germany to the US. If someone wants to contact the seller and set up a group buy, PM me and I'll give you his email address.

I wanted to wait a little before I posted this, but I can't keep up with the PMs
I still think it's a great idea to put together a group buy with the guy to bring the cost down a bit (at least on the shipping). Anyway, that's up to you guys, if someone wants to take the lead on the group buy, go for it
He put up a listing on US eBay after I emailed with him a couple weeks ago. I'm not sure how many he has access to and I wanted to give as many people here a chance to buy them as possible, but I can't keep up with the PMs.
I can't take any blame for the items if they are found out to be fakes at a later date (I really doubt it, but you never know) The quality and fit/finish is nothing but stellar, so if they're fake, they're the best fakes I've ever seen. I also compared my piece to the piece posted on the PL from AMG Information and they are spot on with the piece they photographed--down to every detail, even the mold marks and numbers, etc. Anyway, just wanted to put that out there--as always buyer beware!
Here's his eBay listing:

And BTW, we're a small group of AMG freaks here who would buy this, but the total number of these that will sell worldwide, has got to be very limited since 90% of MB owners don't even have a clue what AMG is
I find it hard to believe that some dude would go to all the trouble to fake such a limited supply of items and do such a good job with the craftsmanship--it's AMG, not Rolex

My dealer gave me 2 of these for my 2 keys (for free) when I picked up my 2013 c63.
Call your dealers, maybe MB distributed them to the dealers for the 2013 MY.
