Quick update from ponoma

True street class racing
30 mile cruise followed by 3 hot laps...strict closed hood rule and no icing.

Car is running very fast updates to follow.

No idea who drew is but I will be out again in the next month in SoCal. I presume he runs about he same speed so as long as he as all the safety equip I have there will be no issue running on the strip.

Drew with a M3 and SC'd built motor raced C63_Guy aka Josh (Weistec blown) and beat Josh. Weistec then posted in a thread hinting a blown and built M156 race Drew and we presumed it would be either you or Jim.

No disrespect to Drew as I have never met him but it does not look like a race to me.

If he wants to get hold of me to race we can do a pvt track rental...loser pays for the track.

Drew is a nice guy and I respect his online persona as I believe most others on here do the same. I'd like to see you do that to PencilGeek over there. I think he's another guy with a built and SC'd M3. I don't care much for his online persona. He came onboard here a couple of years back and stirred up crap as well as on M3post.

Steve should be setting it up as the video shows Weistec losing to a M3.

Weistec is making good power out of that car. Should go alot quicker than 10.2 with a 144 trap. I've seen fwd cars go quicker with that trap loll

Just remember the car had a road race suspension on. When jacking the car up the left or right side goes up with tires off the ground on two pumps.

For those of you with a calculator, you have the hp, weight, and mph of the car so i am sure you can figure out what it should run with a suspension...as the video says, you have seen nothing yet.

So you're making it a dedicated drag car? Is it gutted?

It should go mid nines. If you have the trap speed and a brain you don't need the weight nor the HP to figure that out. I have no doubt Weistec will get it figured out but lets not paper race, wait until the car runs the time.

With all the safety equip the car is above stock weight and will remain so (street car first). The AC works perfect as does the radio and will continue to do so.

Nice! Mine has ice cold AC and radio works with kw suspension. I'm all about the fast street cars!! So you aren't putting a drag suspension on?

Will do it the old fashion way...just throw more power at it! I don't want to change the car too much more so we will see what we can do.

And the car is NOT gutted! Different seats mind you but otherwise everything is there.

i remember seeing the video of Drew and Josh racing and Drew's car is a monster . the cool thing about it is that Drew came onto the thread and posted some really positive things about Josh and his C63 . he seems to be a really nice guy . always nice to have a bunch of car enthusiasts get together and race and talk , regardless of what you drive
