I think this video was posted a while back on the M5 boards and discussed at length...
My experiences:
CLS vs CLS PP and the PP wins by about 3 cars
CLS tuned vs CLS PP and the tuned car wallops the PP car by alot
CLS tuned vs CLS PP tuned = about equal. (since both cars maxed)
Gripforce on this board and local friend to me has a Non PP CLS tuned and he runs even with his buddies 458 .... and in fact at super high speeds he starts to pull

I was confusing the CLS PP and the CLS PP-P. LOL. I didnt realize it was referring to a tuned PP. Either way, its my belief that there is no way that CLS was PPPed. ![Smilie](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
I believe it was a standard CLS63 with no tune.
Not sure if Vic is correct though. I thought a PP tuned has more HP than a CLS non PP tuned.![nix](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/nixweiss.gif)
I personally watch a CLS PP gain about 40 WHP from a tune.

Same. The PP car is only more powerful than a non PP due to the boost adjustment and when a tune is done on a Non PP it brings the power past a PP car. But when you tune both you get the same HP (relatively speaking) because both cars have the same boost. Now this holds true for cars with the same brand tunes but some tuners will push their boost up more than others.
When Jeremy tuned my PP CLS and then an non PP CLS we had about the same HP. The dyno was off due to temperature, conditions, etc but you get my drift.

Cool, thanks. I guess the only reason to get a PP CLS63 is for track use if you plan on tuning it anyhow.

First time poster, long time lurker.
So many misinformed people on this thread.
A tuned CLS63 PP with probably be head to head with a stock F12 M6.
F10 M5 I have no idea, never drove one. But for the F12, I can prove it will put a bus length on a CLS63 PP stock.
As I own both, I can attest to that fact.

I owned a cls63 PP stock and tuned and own an M5 f10 and now a f12 M6- and agree the stock f12 M6 will pull a stock cls pp as shown above.
My tuned PP pulled very hard and would take my stock m6 and m5 all day. Now the s63tu tunes are starting to show up and then once I get one or two of those the results will be different.

Its ridiculous how sensitive some members are here on this forum!! Especially when MHP is brought up
jeez!! Every time there is one thing posted about MHP there is this one member in specific that feels as though its his duty to come bad mouth them!! My god, forgive and forget, get over it and face the facts MHP is a great company with a great product and there are many members that agree! We understand you don't like them for your own reason but we all dont care to always hear your negative/bias opinion, nor do I think its right to go around bad mouthing people

Stock M5s are no joke. They make 520+ hp at the wheels. That's what my old SL65 made so they're actually over 600hp. A non tuned CLS stands no chance and a C63 even tuned doesn't stand a chance unless you dumped a lot of $ into it. That's why I want to get one after driving one this past weekend. Someone take over my renntech cls lease lease in the classifieds

MHP is a one man show operating from his basement. He doesn't produce anything and is only a reseller. Not even his "super" exhaust. He only takes orders from customers and placess requests with tuners and fabricaters that work with him.
Let me explain to you the word company:
- OEtuning
- Weistec
- Renntech
- Eurocharged
Those are the definition of COMPANY. Get the correct definition

Agreed, it should be very interesting and will probably be very close. I wonder how much the AWD system will rob.
Vic: what is your personal opinion? get a 2013 CLS and live with lower 0-60 times or get a 2014 CLS AWD and take a chance of how it drives and how fast it will be past 120mph.
I am torn and my head is spinning. I tend to think that the 2014 would be the way to go as it will be my DD and most of the fun I will have is below 120 mph. I also like the new updated interior options (stitching, memory buttons, etc...) however the difference in $$ will be about $10K.

I personally would not get the rwd version of the m157 only because I have had 2 and they ran their course with me. Im sure Ill get an AWD car and then dump it down the road. LOL.
Here is my latest RWD beast and it sure is alot of fun.

Thanks for the advice. You are reinforcing my initial thought. I think the $10K can be partially offset by the fact that it will be a MY14 vs MY13.
Finally a pic of the new M6. Looks awesome in that color. You da man
.
I can't wait for you to tune your Ms and give us your thought compared to the AMGs.

I dont run Dinan... never on any of my M's (6 of them). Ill be using OE once the definitions are finalized and adjustments made.
