that fender looks like it's ready to cut someone..is that how it's going to look or are you goign to put some extra material to fill it up? Not that you prob use your back seats much :P

Its not as sharp as it looks. Can't add material because thats the area under the fender where the tire rides when lowered.

Its MUCH cheaper than buying a new BS. The car was paid off after four years and I didn't want a new car payment.
However, it was time for something new like a transformation.
They do a GREAT job and they can complete it in less than four weeks.

I'll have more pictures today. The "artwork" they have done is incredible. The side panels took a LOT of imagination and rework to work on the four door but they did it and it looks GREAT!! I couldn't have ask for anything better. I'm actually at the hood place picking up the first of the new ram air hoods so I can get it on the car and painted all at the same time. Gonna look awesome I think and its fully functional and will be less expensive than any other air box options out today. I'll put new pictures on the other thread later today.

Thanks guys for your kind words and hopefully the last four months will all be worth it!!

Its all done at Sanford Paint and Body here in Sanford. Dave and his team are excellent!! You are welcome to see it anytime.

I stopped by to take more pics but its disassembled for paint. Guess I'll have to wait for paint next week.

You've sure got one hell of a crew to fabricate your imagination in person.. hehe

Love the ideas and work you always get done.... sure is a lot of fun watching what people can do with our cars.

Out of curiosity though, since the car sits as its shown in the pictures, for what I'd imagine would be weeks at a time, is there any preperation and procedures you perform before cranking it over and driving it again?

And I don't think I caught it, but did you mention what colour this would be painted now? I'm going to assume you'll keep the factory barolo red to keep its prestige, but maybe you'll go with something different...

This is an awesome transformation that you're making. Hope you'll get the facelifted headlights in the future to complete the look.

You mentioned getting a ram air hood- is that going to be similar in style to the Black Series?

Since so much stuff has to be repainted, it seems like an opportune time to paint the whole car... perhaps in Solar Beam!

Nope, no problem starting it up. It was moved periodically during the process.

No new headlights. The 2012 are $2500 a pair and can't be wired to work properly. The new 2012 move when you turn the car left and right and the older series don't so there is no driver for the light motors. I think you understand. Needless to say too expensive for what I need.

I seriously, seriously, seriously thought about repainting the car and actually planned it. Then I began to think about it being a four door and would it look right?? Then my wife made the comment "Honey, the way you drive, do you need a bright yellow car to get attention?", true story!! Needless to say it will stay barolo red.

Off to the paint shop:

Don't think about it, repaint the car.

The current color will not do the bodywork justice.

Come on buddy, paint it a bright color. I say lime green.

I'll see it up close on Tuesday, dropping the truck off for some work.
