Thanks to a well document incident I have 2 c63s, and so I have had both interiors - currently the CF. I like both, but if buying new I wouldn't pay a red cent more for either.
Personally, I think that CF (used for anything other than its true purpose) is destined to be like jumbo watches and 22" wheels - a style that passes. I mean, what is the benefit of a CF trunk spoiler? A 2oz weight savings? Structural integrity? Both thoughts are kind of hilarious. Therefore it's a look, and all looks get dated, especially those that make something stand apart ie not clean.
Matte paint will follow shortly behind. Sorry. I like it, but it's true.
The reality tho is that we are all car guys and we will have moved on by then. As my mother says "if you don't want to look the fool, don't be the first one wearing a style and don't be the last one either".
HOWEVER, Jesus H. Christopher on a painted pony, it's your gawdamm money, spend it on what YOU like.

Go sit in an SLS with red interior and aluminum trim and tell me it looks cheap. That's what sold me. As they other guy says, the blend with the wheel and the contrast n the dash looks great. Aluminum in the per facelift, I agree, not into it. In the 2012+ absolutely awesome.

I dont like Carbon fiber or the red interior. Looks like something that belongs in a Honda Civic. The Black ash is the best looking in the car, by far in my opinion. I hate the way carbon fiber looks on anything, it is a strong light weight material and it is great for body panels as it really lightens the car, If I were to every install anything carbon fiber on my car it would be painted black to match the car before it was installed. As for carbon fiber interior, all I can think of is my friends brother showing off the carbon fiber interior he had installed on his Honda Accord with a body kit and chrome rims when we were in high school......

When I had my C63 it came with ash. I had it replaced with CF.
IMHO a performance car should either have aluminum or CF trim in today's world . Wood trim is for luxury cruisers.
