MBH C63 Strut Tower Bar ** Now Available**
We are happy to announce the release of our strut tower bar for the C63 AMG. This brace was designed when a friend of mine who road races wanted a little more stability and predictability when he was out on the road courses. So we took his car into the shop and started with a new strut brace for the front end.
Our new strut tower bar is constructed out of 100% chromoly steel and hand made here in Arizona USA. It's 100% TIG welded. The MBH strut tower brace is a 100% bolt on product and includes all the hardware to get the job done. Its a simple DIY and can be done in your driveway, garage, or shop of choice if you prefer.
Price is $499 with free shipping inside the USA.

That's a pretty sweet lookin strut tower. Pardon my ignorance but will this strut tower brace be compatible in a 2012 / 2013 C63 AMG Estate?
Do PM me your best price inclusive of shipping to Brunei if possible.
Thanks

Agree. While I appreciate the support from the after-market, the pricing needs to be revisited. I've purchased strut bars for a number of cars in the past and they were generally 1/2 or less this price.

Its the Mercedes markup.
However, have to admit I cant believe people talk about a $500 chromoly strut bar, but see a "special" on a canned tune for $1000 thats just a static map used over and over and over and over and over again. For $1k you should get a fully programmable EMS, not a flash file. The tunes, regardless of the impact, are the most sickening thing. Well, the headers too. OK everything.
Sorry, rant over, didnt mean to sh*t on your thread. That bar looks really well made actually and makes me wonder why MBZ didnt include it in the first place as there really is no downside to drivability/comfort. Maybe cost prevented them.

I do think it's noteworthy that MB/AMG did not install one in the new C63 BS.

I have a very nice one installed in my car. Was $399 if I recall. In all honesty, I did not notice much of a difference. Some might notice at the track.

Thanks Jason glad you like it. It really helps the car, since it's made of Chromoly Steel vs others that are made from aluminum that will flex and thats what we are trying to avoid.

yeah.... taking it out of the box.... just holding it, you can tell this thing is one sturdy bad ***. i had a g35 before this car and had a strut bar on it with tein coilovers. the strut bar wasn't this quality..... and i noticed.
it also looks really nice.... for OEM look to it. makes me really wonder why the hell it didn't come on the car in the first place. based on the price of the other ones that are out, your price is justified. pay for quality.
easily cleared my ROW airboxes....they are the same size as OEM. Should definitely clear the carbino intake. plenty of room. I also like how the bar as some adjustability.... I remember installing my old one and that was a major pain.
the difference in the car's turn in is obvious. my only disappointment is that i had to pay for a part that should have 100% come on this car stock.

+1. Just got mine from SMERC and it was half the price. Three-piece, T6061 aluminum so lighter, very similar design, cross-section looks the same and the fit and finish are first rate as is the service from Yuta. No disrespect for your product, but for $300 more you're looking at a CF brace from RENNtech.

To be totally suited to both the track and the street should not the support have a third point of contact to the firewall for total rigidity? A triangle support makes more sense than a linear whereas the one side can stress the other in hard turning with wide tires.

To MBH - your close but add another chassis link for a stronger brace.
To Members - this will offer little improvement to stearing. Psuedo effect mostly. its not a strong design, will flex.
Strut tower braces in this simple dual link design have proven through R&D to be inferior to quad or tri-link strut tower braces.
Another contact point with the chassis is needed for ragidity like this one for example:
another example from another brand:
and other example:
^^
Even the Mopar aftermarket world (who we all know isn't the most handling-centric, more all out brute HP/TQ) - even they realize this.
I personally installed one on my SRT8 similar to the above design and honestly felt minimal difference, if any at all. It had a cool engine bay dress up effect, but that really was all.
Not worth it IMO.
And if your going to build/buy one, do it right and add more contact points to the chassis.

Engine Bay Dress Up? Sure - go for it. Otherwise don't expect to "feel" any difference by adding this to your ride folks.
