2012 C63 SEDAN - H&R SPRINGS, PLASTIDIP FORGESTARS AND LED'S
3 Attachment(s)
Well, got the springs on and I can't say enough about them, and haven't even put enough miles on yet to get to thoroughly know them.
Ride a bit stiffer than stock, but you can not tell a lot - I personally love the new feel. Turn-in is amazing now, no more sloshy suspension feel and the car just feels amazingly sprung - has definitely brought life to it. Otherwise, the car is filthy - my apologies. Took the plunge and decided to try this plastidip nonsense. Have to say, comes out pretty damn nicely, and is really fun to spray and peal... Want to powdercoat my wheels black, and this is a great way to get a realistic preview without losing an arm and a leg on the cost of painting the wheels up-front. While I was at it, I also sprayed the front LED chrome housings and the 6.3 emblem behind the front tires...everything came out PERFECTLY, but decided I like the 6.3 badge too much to cover it up. Contemplating removing the stuff off the DRL LED's. BTW, haven't noticed any rubbing yet. Cheers! |
pretty damn hot

Love the black fog LED!! The drop is a bit too low, but if it doesn't rub it's all good.
As for the wheels, I would leave them gunmetal.. Too dark for my taste. Great job! |
Nice drop. The title says coilovers and the post says you got springs - which one is it then?
Looks great but I would leave the wheels gunmetal :y Also I think You need some spacers in the front. The rear wheels are pretty flush with the fenders but the fronts seem tucked in. |
Sorry springs, not coilovers...woops! Feel like a total retard lol
|
^^ really only springs? Wow, that is slammed for H&R.. Much lower than pre-facelift C63. I was going to say raise it a bit.. Lol

Thanks...thinking about putting it back to chrome though...changes the look of the front end in real life. still debating. The drop honestly is not bad at all. I think the pictures make it worse than it is, but don't get me wrong, you are 100% correct that the stance has drastically changed. As for the wheels, I would leave them gunmetal.. Too dark for my taste. Great job!

BTW, got real lucky with my license plate renewal...couldn't believe that it hadn't been taken.
|
Great stance....love the blackout around the LEDs...makes it look very stealth
Good job! |
I'm getting ready to drop mine on h&r's. I just purchase the 17mm sprig pads from my local dealer. That drop since lower than usual, I wonder what made it look lower.

I refer to her as my second wife....lol Won't do tail lamps for liability reasons, although I do agree that it would look good. As to pics, will try to snap some tomorrow...you guys are funny. |

Ask and you shall receive!
Plasti dip is off the wheels and LED's this time around... |
The wheels look so much better gunmetal.. Good choice!
As for the fogs, i vote black. |
looks great
|
amazing look ride.
|
thanks guys! will consider re-spraying the LED's, but IMO, it changes the look of the front end...can't explain it.
|
I also plasti-dipped the front foglights. Made a huge difference. I agree, can't exactly put my finger on it but it just did. I like the way mine look so I've kept them black.
|
I prefer the original gunmetal rims but good call on blacking out the fog light housing. How come you didn't do the window trims?

Which h&r springs are these?
|
Looks great. If you want to finish off the murdered out black look, wrap the front grill and door trim.
|
Car looks great man! What tint percentage is that all around?
|
I'm a big fan of the total blackout on these cars, quality vinyl wrap done by professionals is the way to go IMO .
It's like taking off the "refined look" suit and tie and putting on a stealth body armor for battle. Not for everyone though. The wheels look great in gunmetal and the stance is perfect! Nice job overall enjoy!! |
Geez this looks slammed with only springs
|
Congratulations, she looks great!
