That's my gripe with Audi, man. ALL of their cars are under-powered compared to the competition. The only one that isn't is the R8 and only because its a V10 from a Lambo.

the only time i recall getting "raced" was pulling up side a E63. We looked at each other and just let the v8's sing all the way up to 130km/h before letting off and giving each other a smile and a thumbs up.
We happened to pass under a bridge for some echoes too![Smilie](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
actually, i remember another incident where some wrx (not sti) wanted to go, but it was in the middle of winter and i had my winters on. The ground was wet so there was no way i was going for it.

Some douche in an early 2000's Mustang tried to race me on my way back from LA/SD. I was actually just on cruise the whole time trying to max out MPGs. This idiot starts pacing me and passing me on the right. I ignore. He then merges in front of me and takes off. Fine. I'm still cruising at 75mph (speed limit on I-5 is 70). I come up on him on cruise so I move to the right and pass. The guy then proceeds to rev his engine and try to pull on me, slows down, and revs again. No one was in front of us so the next time he starts pulling, I gun it and leave him in the dust. Got to just over 110 and slowed back to cruise control speed...he never bothered to catch up.
Maybe I shouldn't have gotten reeled into his childish game, but I tried to avoid it twice. Sometimes a scrub needs to be put in their place.
Once solace about driving around the Bay Area and possibly getting stuck in bad traffic is that there are usually 2-3 tunnels I hit almost everyday.

Don't feel bad, Fung63..............not that you do, of course. I'da done the same thing; I mean, an AAAAAAAAAAA-5?
I'd be like "Dude, don't flatter yourself. Your design is attractive, but you could be in a frickin overpriced (err, WAY overpriced), glorified front wheel drive RS5 and you'd still be my b#$@!. It's already been proven. Goodbye. And have a nice day."
Your restraint is admirable, as I think we can all relate.
Don't these fools know what we're driving? Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but are we not still driving the fastest naturally aspirated saloon (been catchin up on some Top Gear UK episodes lately) on the planet? And it handles quite well, for that matter.
My research dept. tells me that only 4-doors with boost can take us, so those punks need to recognize the amazing 6.2 that AMG has constructed for us. It wasn't Int'l Performance Engine of the Year for 2 consecutive years for nuthin. Supplanted only by a recent Ferrari V8. Dammit.
Adios, homies!

my wife bananas! :D
haha nice responses guys. i spent the night ripping out more baseboards in my new home... finally done with them. btw, i've found builders now to be nothing more than project managers. No offense to anyone who is in the industry, but many of these contractors have little to no pride in their work. House prices here keeps going up yet the quality unfortunately goes down. As long as it meets the minimum requirement for building code, it is A-ok for them... cant fault that business logic i guess
anyways, in a weeks time, it will be water under the bridge. We'll move in to our little home

Hi Meng,
Moving closer to work. My commute will go from 1+hr each way to just 13 minutes each way![Smilie](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
And my wife and I fell in love with a little town called Burlington. Decided to give it a try

Living 1 hour away from work must be fun in a C63... j/k LOL
I live 5 km from my work, so it's hard to put mileage on any of my cars... :P

Same thing happened to me last week, this BMW 330 kept pulling hard on me at every stop light despite my refusal to race him cuz my wife & newborn was in the backseat of my C63. My wife kept telling me to show him what the car can do, but I didn't want to risk it... LOL
Plus this fool probably didn't even see I had a baby in the backseat, what a cocky driver!! LOL

I have a 4 month old, the baby seat is behind the passenger side because I have to move the seat way forward and more the back of the seat to an almost 90 degree angle to the seating part. There is no way I can fit a passenger in my car when I have the baby. Also.. my wife is 6'1" (I have not tried another child up front, or a short person).

Slightly off topic.. how old/how big is your baby, and where do you place him in the car.

same here as well. babyseat goes on passenger side as the front passenger seat definitely has to move up some.

^^ My boy is 2 months old, and same here.. Rear Passenger side with the front seat moved to the front a bit. My wife sits behind me, but we're only 5"2.
Jvanbrecht, it must be hard for ur wife to squeeze in the back of u or front passenger at 6".. But never sit a baby on the front passenger seat, very dangerous due to the airbags.

Any child requiring a booster seat, child seat, or any type of safety device sits in the rear in the correct locations..
I tried to use the center latch mount, but then both seats get stuck forward..
As for the wife issue.. if "we" are going anywhere, is in the new Jeep Grand Cherokee we bought after she got preggers (nothing like trading a 7 month old Infiniti in due to lack of space). She absolutely hates my car, and unless absolutely necessary, she won't get in my car. She is a runner (and sometimes a tri athlete), the seats are way too narrow and the bolsters stab her in the ribs, even when completely deflated.
But alas, the C63 is not the greatest option for child and mother..
Child on the other hand absolutely loves the harsh ride and giggles and laughs hysterically when driving over a bumpy road
