Painting Brake Calipers
Hey guys,
I know this topic has been brought up many times, but I wanted to see what you guys thought about this idea I had.
I want to paint the brakes calipers on my car red, but wasn't sure if sticking decals on the brakes would look great.
Do you guys think if I taped off the existing AMG logo on the brakes and spray over it (to keep the existing logos on the brakes without having to then put a decal) would it work/look good?
The local shop near me said he would take the wheels of, tape the logos off, spray primer, spray the red a few coats, take the tape off and then clear coat it.
What do you guys think?

I think Staff@WORLD has the AMG decals. Send them a PM and ask.
You will be better off to apply new decals. Spray the calipers the color of your choice, apply new decals then clear coat over top. Should get you a more professional looking job.
