if you're buying brand new...keep in mind they just redesigned the CLS whereas the E has been out for a few years now and will change sooner than the CLS

Also depends on your lifestyle, do you need the room or constantly carting around more than 2 people? get the E class.

I have the same issue two weeks ago, and i end up brought the E class because of the capacity.
The car hasn't arrived yet, can't wait to ride the new engine :-)

Actually, the best way is to test drive both of them. It's your car and it should come from your own liking and decision

Depends on what you need. Personally, I'd take the CLS for the looks.

cls has better looks and interior is nicer to be in, but from what I've read E drives better and CLS is heavier.

I've driven both cars but not the AMG version, couldnt tell much of a difference. the CLS does feel more special though.

Another vote for the CLS. Remember that it only seats 4, though.
