A look back at pre-purchase decision making regarding options for c63

Plain Black vs. Obsidian Black:

I went with plain back and could not be happier. It just looks more sleek, reflective and elegant.
They say that the sparkles in the obsidian hide swirls and dirt better, but I opticoated my car and now I have the best of both worlds.

P31 vs stock

I went with P31 but was afraid I wouldn't like the red calipers, that they would look cheesy.
I actually love the red calipers and am growing to love the understated sportiness of the p31 spoiler as well.
Brakes are amazing, not sure what difference bigger brakes make compared to stock.
Car is fast as hell, no idea if I would be able to tell the difference between p31 and stock, but I like to have that mental edge, knowing that I maximized the OEM potential of my car.

Carbon Fiber vs Black Ash

I like both, but the carbon fiber goes better with my spoiler and my aftermarket big fin diffuser.
Glad I chose the carbon fiber.
Black ash also reminds me a bit too much of my grandma's ashtrays.

Illuminated door sills

Overpriced, but cool as hell at night.
Love'em.

Keyless Go

This thing is a steal, I would have paid $2000 - $3000 for this option -- it is that good.
Never take the keys out of my pocket, can open any door and my favorite, the trunk as well.
I like hitting the brake and pushing the button, too.
It feels like I am playing an old school video game.

Parktronic

Absolutely love it.
Keeps my bumpers scratch free.
Excellent for parking in garages, backing up without hitting anything.
Have not used it to find a parking spot or parallel park -- still too scared somebody else will screw up my bumpers.

Rearview Camera

See parktronic.

MBrace 2.0

Not really an option, comes standard on 2013.
Have not used it at all yet so I'm not sure what I'm missing out on.

The bottom line for me:

I loaded the car up with all options except the "safety" stuff: blind spot, lane tracking, etc.

Every option I added has been well worth it.

Oh, and absolutely loving the black leather, would highly recommend black leather interior.
I was considering black/porcelain and black/sand.
I like the purity of black on black with carbon fiber accessories (trim, spoiler, diffuser).
If Arkym ever decides to make their carbon fiber front lip for the 2012+ I will add that as well.

I am wondering if anybody regrets any options they added or is everybody else happy with their decisions?

Any regrets over paint color, interior choices, etc?

(a)'12 C63 P/P, LSD, 19" m/spoke,comfort pack. (b)Astra SRI.
Thumbs up

We took delivery of our Palladium C63 in Jan this year.
Options were, P31 (which in Aus includes 19" M/Spokes), L.S.D.,& Comfort Pack (keyless go & elec rear blind).
Black Nappa Leather, & a heap of other stuff is standard in Aussie cars.
We're happy with everything....would't change a thing.
At one stage I was thinking of the optional Red/black leather option, but wifey preferred black...so black it is, & in hindsight I prefer the black too.
Initially, I was going to stick with the standard 5 spoke wheels, because it'd be easier to clean the inner rim & brake calipers etc.....but the dealer talked us into the 19s & we're glad he did!
So really, we're happy with everything, & there's nothing that we would change.
Cheers, Pickles.

Agree with you on all points. I opted for every single option EXCEPT the P31 and LSD. Everything else is great and I love the Black/White interior with Carbon Fiber
