EU seats vs. US seats? (legroom)

so back when the w204 first came out I was in europe and happened to get a brand new C220 as a rental car. I am 6'6 (at the time was ~350) and fit in it quite nicely. I came back to the US and considered buying a C350 but when I test drove one I felt like I didnt have much room...like maybe the seat didnt go back as far or something?

I then went back a couple years later and drove a friend's C63 Estate...which was even MORE spacious (significantly) than the rental car had been...and WAY more spacious than the US C350. I recall specifically that (at 6'6") I actually had the seat in the second to last spot as opposed to being slid ALL the way back...never experienced that before.

Does anyone have any thoughts on legroom/seat movement in the US C63 compared to the C350 or the EU C class? Not sure if the different seats in the AMG series vs regular C class makes a difference, or estate vs sedan, or if maybe the seats in the US are totally different due to safety regulations/crash testing etc and so they just dont move as much...

It sounds like the cars you were in in Europe had manual seats vs. all C Class seats in the US are electric. Perhaps the manual seats go further back than the electric ones. But this is just a guess.

I think you might be right. does it make sense that a EU c63 could have had manual seats?

Although I don't know all the option list for a European C63- I do know that a lot of things are optional over there. So it doesn't phase me if manual seats come standard and electric are optional, even for the AMG.

Yes. electric seats (L & R) are an option in EU.
