Its hard to believe that a production ready 2014 E63 is at a dealer meeting before any final production pics have been released.

I thought the only major exterior change is the grill and single headlight update

WWMIndy: Thanks for posting. Please ignore the idiots who always have to ruin a conversation with negative posts. As someone already said in this thread, I'd rather see a post like this than the countless stupid posts that appear here regularly. But even then, I prefer to look away instead of thread crapping.

Please do NOT stop posting such info. This forum is not just about the present and the past, but about the future as well. Posts like yours get (some of us) excited about what is around the corner. The current gen C63 is getting old and somewhat boring, so we need something go get excited about again. As someone said, the new E63 may give us a good sense of where MB is going with their performance division, and that is very exciting news! Think about how excited everyone was before the C63 came out in 2007.

So THANK YOU for starting this discussion right now. There is enough time to fill in the blank with facts, but I am just happy to hear something positive about AMG's future cars.

+1. It's always good to hear about anything AMG because in the end any new technology will affect the future cars, thus affecting the new C63

sounds awesome WWMIndy. I've had the pleasure of driving the E63 estate with the P31 package, and I can say i'm thoroughly in love with it. Can't wait to see how much crazier the car gets!

They really need to bring the CLS63 shooting brake to NA as well :P

Sounds good but I imagine some C63 BS owners getting quite upset when a baseline 2014 C63 blows it out of the water.

That, but the all wheel drive is the killer application

This will have 0-60 numbers well under 4 ticks.

Well believe it good sir! Serial number was XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX - looked cool as hell...wish mine had that!

We got to see a whole lot of stuff at the dealer meeting last year in Germany that none of us expected to get access to.

I appreciate your comments very much and am happy to see that there is another enthusiast out there that is an AMG gear-head at heart..

The next C63 will not be disappointing, that I am confident in.

If the C-Class targets younger buyers, and the E-Class is as aggressive as what I saw, it should be even better than the E relatively speaking.

Glad to hear it!

I have a large soft-spot for the Estate as well...I have to say that I prefer the E over the CLS Shooting-Break, but I would nonetheless like to see one.

Absolutely - just look at the new CLA...the C-Class will ride the coattails of that.

The E63 is going to blow everything in the current and future line-up out of the water (including the SLS Black)...maybe not handling wise, but it will at least match it from an acceleration perspective

That I honestly don't know...didn't even look at that...the rest just took me so off guard that I felt like a little boy again.

The new M5 is going to look like a silly attempt at an aggressively styled sedan when the E is released..

I thinks it's a very smart move.

Also, if you can share your thoughts on the new headlights. I was hoping they would go away from 2 light design for some time now.

Thanks for the info today Indy. Have been hearing a debut at Detroit. Press release a little before that

Cheers!!!!!!

I'm all for AWD as long as they keep the weight down. I hope it makes its way into the next C63. That would lock me in for sure!

Agreed - if they were to add weight though, I'd feel extremely strongly about the fact that they would compensate with more power putting you in a better place than before....

Um what I'm about to say is certainly crude and insulting, but when I saw the front of the car, I think I almost came in my pants....LOL

Audi thinks they pioneered the use of LED's???

Well Mercedes just redefined it....

I'm surprised you're even allowed to say this much under NDA.

Spain event was good I take it?

edit - n/m, Spain is next month.

There were no NDA's signed or discussed...just had to go through TSA-like security before the meeting...they even checked our watches for recording devices lol...

Yeah, I wish, but got married a year ago and am trying to put money in the bank...don't get me wrong, the C63 is expensive, but it is relatively inexpensive when considering what you get...
