OS Giken Differential installed

Hello,

I have to thank everyone for all the help in making my C63 experience un eventful.

I come from a long history of BMW ownership. I currently drive an E90 M3 and an E82 1M when I found a US spec Edition 1 Coupe for sale in the UAE.

I bought my car thinking it had an LSD, since cars that come with the Performance Package in here have the LSD included already.

Driving the C63 was nice, but it does not drift wi an open diff. In addition, leaving corners was nasty cause power was not being delivered. It really frustrated me and I was considering whether I should keep the car or sell it.
In the end, I managed to contact OS Giken in Japan and ordered the LSD through their local dealer in here.
It took around 10 days to arrive and it was worth the wait.

I got the instructions mailed to me and I took it to my local dealer who started working on the car. I didn't know what was meant by grinding when reading the forums, but after seeing the pictures I understood. The diff is bigger than the diff opening, but once inside it is fine. This is why you need to grind some metal from the housing to make it fit.

Picking up the car two days later, I disabled the traction control, put it in manual and looked for a long second gear sweeper. THIS CAR DRIFTS NOW. And it drifts so much easier than the M3 due to all the torque. I am really impressed.
Leaving corners, the car just shoots and accelerates without hesitation.
Btw, the diff has no sound and is just smooth. I had a KAAZ LSD installed in an AE86 once and it was noisy, but then that was A two way drifting LSD.

I drive around feeling so happy now that my car has an LSD and one which is even better than the Black series one. So sad that AMG does not include a standard lsd diff like the BMW M does.

Will try to post some pics and also link the instructions manual.
