At least over here in northern europe we drivers get the ticket. That's why i never drive without people having their seatbelts on...and safety of course. Police officers can be true prïcks. hope you get it figured out

Years ago, I had 3 girls in a SLK with me, top down, and got pulled over. I explained I was the DD and had to drive them home. One of them flashed the cops. They let us go, even though it was a solid 20km to my house. It's a miracle what **** can do.

I don't get it. You guys are saying the passengers should have gotten the ticket because they weren't wearing a seat belt? That would make sense if there were 7 seat belts in the car, but there weren't.
The driver is getting a ticket because he is carrying more passengers than the vehicle safely allows which is 5. I don't see anything wrong with what the cop did. It's a risk the driver takes piling passengers in the car. If he had gotten into any sort of accident and one of those passengers were hurt I don't believe insurance would cover him.
As far as the cop sitting there 20 minutes, I've seen it happen a million times. The fact that you stayed behind for so long was more than suspicious and is probably the reason the cop ended up pulling you over.
If a cop stops to talk to another cop in the middle of the street, wait 30 seconds and then pass them using your turn signal. They'll still be in mid conversation and ignore you.

hey guys I'm not complaining I just didnt think it was fair the cop stopped like that, and was just asking if there are ways to save 110 dollars or try. at the end of the day no one likes tickets.

His beef is that his best friend is an officer. So naturally, he feels an allegiance to his side and is sticking up for someone else's(his friend) job and beliefs. It's okay yooker, not all officers are correct or always fair.

I think it's funny when people get a ticket (speeding, license plates, etc) and then claim the cop was just being a jerk and jealous. Maybe they were BUT the person getting the ticket did something that allowed the cop to issue the ticket, no? If I put a bunch of people in the back of my car and get a ticket, the cop may, in fact, be a jerk but so what... I deserved the ticket for breaking the law whether I like it and agree with it or not. Yes, it sucks to get the ticket but if it were me, I would just get over it and move on. If I didn't want to chance getting a ticket, I would put the extra people in a cab
