What car next....too many to pick!
One thing I forgot to add....had an ML when I was living in Europe. While it was an okay car all-around, I did have some serious reliability issues with it (lost a transmission to the tune of 7,000 Euros) in the 2 years we had it. I like the new ones, but I'm not convinced that I would pick an ML over a Rangie.

Very luxurious feeling (especially with the leather dash etc), powerful, excellent driving position, ambient lighting looks amazing at night, intelligent light system is fantastic, feels great and easy to drive etc. The only things I didn't like too much was the lack of side support in the seats, handling not as sharp as I want, I wanted even more power and a better sounding exhaust, but this is from a guy who drives a C63 daily
and then compares it to an ML350 but that's how good the new ML is!!In fact owning the 2012 ML350 pushed me to seriously consider an ML63 as my C63 replacement. My visit to AMG in Affalterbach this past September closed the deal!
Now the long wait with associated nightmares (....when sleeping)!

Look at every thread talking about the CTS-V, everyone keeps saying "love the engine and transmission, hate the interior quality"... and that's on a CADILLAC! Guess what a Jeep's gonna be like to ride around in; Dog sh*t.
The Best of Mercedes & AMG
Secondly, it's a $50K Jeep with a $20K Jeep interior, even with all their luxury packages on it. It's nice.....for a Jeep. Compared to a good, European interior, it's pretty crappy.

It's not a knock on the ML specifically, but rather all of these 'soft-roaders'. They're pretty much useless at anything more challenging than winter roads. They are mini-vans for people who are too image conscious to ever be seen driving a minivan.

OP: have fun looking for your next car.
I also agree that the new SRT8 has a nicer interior than our C class and some here are just basing their opinions on old cliches.
I just sold my C yesterday to a forum member and now looking for a new toy. I am about to pull the trigger on a CLS63 but looking at everything else right now.

It's been interesting to follow those who had early model year C63's and what they have moved on to. My choice was a little radical as I no longer needed a sedan or even a back seat and I have this itch lately to support "Made in the USA". The exception however is the 1199 Panigale that my wife has not yet embraced. For some reason she can't understand why someone would want 2 motor bikes?
Please keep us updated with your selection!
I remember the searches for pics, vids, reviews... basically all we could find. Yup the dreams are back even had the one where I accelerated and the exhaust was silent!
Freaked the hell out of me till I woke up.
I believe the SLS is the true step up from the C63 but I will have to wait a wee bit longer for that baby
I hope you are enjoying every minute of it!! I drove it on a track in Germany last year and all I could say was wow!! and need to work much harder!
Please take lots of pics and videos if possible... A la Ferraris vs C63..... variety.
that vid still cracks me up. Plus I'm keen on your impressions on the track even though I won't be tracking mine but it gives a good feel of how much it can handle. Please compare the PP and non PP versions if possible. Also actively look out for one with a multiple-contour front seat option as I want to see if the seats are still AMG bucket style or ordinary looking. Plus if they are useful for further securing you into the seat through adjustments of the side bolsters. Ya, I miss the C63 seats. Thanks a ton in advance!
I expect to see it around March '13.
