Hey all I'm 6"4 as well.

I fit great in the c63 coupe. My height is from legs, so headroom is no issue.
I have the seat a bit back and for backseat passengers I have to move it up.
It is def less comfortable than my standard position, however I rarely have them sit behind me.

If you are planning in having drivers side passengers regularly I would def not choose this car... Sadly.

Being tall is a double edged sword eh

No problems so far i also put a blanket there and underneath the carseat so the leather will not get damaged.

the c63 is definitely functional for this... and it is also my dd. However, on family trips, we roll with the wife's GLK lol... it is definitely more spacious
not much more . i have my son's Recaro behind the passenger seat and there isn't much room there either . i'm selling my GLK and getting the new Ford Explorer Sport

I've transported 4 adults in my car, 8 year olds, just about every kind of passenger without a car seat (don't have kids) and it's been fine. I have race mods so it's a harsher of a ride but you should be fine if you have a sedan.

I have a CLS 550 4matic now. It's very roomy, the center console out back fits a Kleenex box perfectly, and the cupholders is perfect for Lego and iPod storage. The only bad I can think of is that you can't put in a rear facing seat for toddlers in the middle.

Go for the C63, you will love it. But I am biased!!!

My 09 C63 Sedan is a good family car. I have a 5 year old who uses a booster seat and a 3 year old that uses a recaro baby seat. They have no problem fitting, but they often kick the back of the drivers and front passenger seat and the back of the seats are always dirty when they ride in the AMG. The 4 doors are so convenient for a family of 4. This is the reason I got a C63 versus a GTR (which has practically useless back seats that is hard to get them in and out of).

Put long tube headers and the Arakovic exhaust and you won't hear them screaming the back seat.

Its fine with kids in booster seats, or in the rear seats, however with an infant carrier, unless you or your wife are 4 feet tall, it could be a problem. I have to move the front passenger seat all the way forward to fit the carrier into its base (the Latch system works fine in our cars). It is too wide to go into the center, so it has to be on either side, and I need to drive, so passenger side it is

Just means the wife (6'1) cannot go with when I take the kid.. so I get to make him giggle laugh and scream (in a good way).. he seems to like the bumpy ride (I do not drive crazy in general, but especially with baby in car) around DC.. although I suspect my shocks are done for soon...

I'm 5'11" and my wife is 5'4".

We have two children, 3 years old (front facing) and 8 months old (rear facing removable carrier).

The 3 year old's seat is behind me, we both fit comfortably.

The 8 month old is behind the passenger seat (wife), she is short enough to where she fits comfortably too. I found if you move the base of the passenger seat up a littler further allowing the back to recline more, it is a little more comfortable for her.

I also put towels under both car seats to protect the leather.

I recently got a C63 as a family car. Our kid is now 6 months old and I'm starting to feel like I need a second car for the longer trips. The car seat base with latch either fits in the middle or passenger side. If in the middle the front passenger seat has plenty of room, if the base is in the back passenger side then not so much. We sometimes drive down to LA (about a 6-7 hour drive with stops) and with moms watching baby and sitting in the back its not very comfortable for that long.
But its a blast to drive. So if its the only car in the family, maybe an e63 or larger.

The E class is definitely more comfortable than the C purely because of the size. However, if you are buying a car to be "sporty" and good through the backroads, the feel of the smaller C-class is much better than the E. For my family of 4, The C63 is just big enough to serve as a comfortable family hauler for day to day activities. Too small for SF to LA vacation trips ( so we take the X5), as stated by a previous poster. If you get an E63, true you may have the best balance of everything. However if you compare an equal in production time C63 to an E63 or M5 in terms of backroads canyon carving, the C63 has the more sporty feel and will likely leave the bigger cars behind. You have to ask yourself what priorities you have and decide on the car that best fits. Not too bad a place to be in, if I say so myself.

Easier to find parking for a C, too.
