What BerBer63 said. I typically just use Eagle1.

I use white diamond...it's great and easy to use...it will stain clothes though so be sure to wear something you don't care about when using it...

how to clean exhaust?-jdxn8.jpg

that's a pic of my exhaust after I use it and I hadn't cleaned it for 2 months and about 1500 miles prior...

This thread gave me some inspiration!

Just spent an hour scrubbing with a product called metal wizard (recommended by the local body shop product supplier) have to wait until daylight to see how they have turned out. I will probably do another "treatment" tomorrow night.

I don't think that they have ever Been polished looking at the state of them.

Ah, I bought mine used and previous owner had never cleaned. '09 pipes are almost etched with black sut and water spots after an hour of 0000 and meguiars polish.

+1, remember that you need to use latex gloves when buffing.

(a)'12 C63 P/P, LSD, 19" m/spoke,comfort pack. (b)Astra SRI.
Thumbs up

Ya don't need any "special" stuff to clean ya're exhausts.
just use some good old simple KEROSENE...."Kero" as we call it in Aus....it will disolve carbon deposits on your exhaust INSTANTLY, without any rubbing at all....just give it a try.
Cheers, Pickles.

Good call! I went the hippy route and used vinegar, dr bronners, and water. Worked well and I can finally see the chrome!

I just spent an hour scrubbing with Eagle 1 and made only a little progress. Someone on another forum recommended Magic Eraser, but that didn't work very well. Will try a brillo pad and soap tomorrow. thanks for all the advice!

If its really caked on you can use a drill with the appropriated buffing device on the end and some polish. The trick is to seal it when its new and then clean it off on a regular basis then you have no issues. Be careful when using abrasive items as you can remove the chrome as well.

Blue Magic - Metal Polish Cream it comes in a 7oz tub and its about half the price of mothers or other similar polishes. It's like your car the cleaner you get it and wax it the next time the dirt comes off easier.

The fine steel wool should work.
