Ok. The one thing that I see different here is that on the black series the vent runs parallel to the ridge and on your repro it does not. The front of the vent is further away from the ridge than the back. Definitely throws the symmetry off.

Sorry to poop on your parade. Just how it looks to my eye.

Bump. I like the hood but I think the mold is off on the vents. Looks to me the spacing on left vent is closer to it's ridge while right vent has more space.

I believe this idea never really took off. I spoke to them directly a few months ago and (surprisingly) I sensed very little interest on producing these for sale. Tried calling weeks later and they stopped answering calls altogether.
