C63 AMG Coupe hitting Rev limiter in S+
Hi all
I haven't introduced myself, apologies, but been a bit unlucky with my brand new C63 AMG Coupe :-( (Now 3 months old with 2,400 on the clock) Problems so far have been creaking drivers seat, missing fire after 1400 miles; and now the gearbox seems to be too slow in changing gear.
I have started to notice the car not changing gear quick enough in s+ mode. A few times (in 3rd and 4th) the car hits the rev limiter before changing gear so you get this annouying 1 sec power lose, because of limiter cutting in. It used to be very rapid at changing gears.
Also the car broke down on me last month after 1400 miles, miss firing. MB dealer upgraded the software and no miss firing since. However, the car just does not feel so punchy anymore. That might be to do with less traction now with the cold and wet weather, maybe? Question is, could the software update they have put on the car have tamed the engine mapping down?
Overall love my car, but wondering if I have a friday afternoon built one! :-(
