Well, most of the people that don't actually know me, think that I'm a douche bag when they see me driving that car. So I guess they're hating because I'm 'too young' to own this car? Who knows. What's more surprising is that we have a LOT of nice cars in our parking lot.

Anyways, I'm getting a Smart Car just for school.

Quote: It got hit and run while it was parked (some front bumper damage, nothing serious). I decided to take care of every single detail and make it look brand new again. Mostly deep dents from haters in school as well as a big dent on the roof. The gate hit me when I was leaving my place. The trunk was keyed so it's getting painted. 60% of the car is getting painted lol. I took pictures of the trunk in case they mess up the CL 63 spacing. I was going to wrap the car right after the body work is done but decided against it. Vinyl wrap doesn't look good at all when you look at it closely.
Sorry your car went through that! Looks pretty rough right now.

In regards to the letter spacing, I HIGHLY recommend making a cardboard/ stiff paper stencil for the letters so you know the EXACT position it's supposed to be in. When I bought my car, the R63 and AMG were in really off positions so I told my body shop to put it back in the correct place. What they did was Google an image of an R63 and eyeballed it to get it back in the right place. Turns out they found pictures of my car online and put it back in almost the same position it was before! (I debadged the rear myself and gave the shop the letters to put back on the back)

So two lessons to be learned from my experience. 1. All my body shop did was pull an image and guess where it's supposed to go. 2. Even though they found a picture of my car, they didn't put it back in the exact position it was in that image. It's slightly more correct now but it's not in the factory position.

The only way I can get mine back in the right spot is to find an unmolested R and measure/ make a template myself so that it can be put back in the factory correct spots.

Generic, thanks for the info. I will stop by one more time tomorrow morning and make sure they take the right measurements.I took the car to the dealer because I wanted to make sure it's going to come out perfect. So far they've done good work. I'm pretty confident that they will make it come out good. They only work on Mercedes. It's not a 3rd party bodyshop.

Quote: I'm out of 5K. Waiting for my insurance to pick up the claim but my policy was 'dropped' the night I got the SLS and got reinstated 2 days after because I forgot to update my easy-pay info (switching banks). Rental company is saying the windshield got damaged but I know it's BS. My attorney said he can void the contract if they keep dealing with me in bad faith. I offered to pay for the repair but no news. They just kept the whole 5.
BUll*****!! that really sucks they doing that. i bet there happy u were underage and messed the grill up. came up on 5k over night.

Quote: I'm going to dispute it with my bank as soon as it gets posted. It's still pending. Lesson learned.
just a heads up...i think when it's through your bank, you're supposed to dispute the charge while it's still pending BEFORE it actually gets posted. i almost got screwed by my bank once because that's what they told me. luckily paypal bailed me out, but if paypal hadn't...my bank was telling me there was absolutely nothing they could do for me. once the money is gone, it's gone forever apparently.

Bill Ussery Motors, 72nd Ave and Bird. It's their warehouse, not really a bodyshop. It's private and only MB employees can go through the gate. Basically you can't just go there and ask for an estimate. Gotta go see Eric at MB of CG.

Hey,

The process with my bank is different. They said they could not dispute the charge while it's still pending. I had to wait until it posts (I know silly) before being able to dispute it.

I disputed it yesterday with a 2 page letter explaining what happened. The process takes 45 days.

Anyways, I went to see my car today...

Chilling at the spa.
