Flaws of the C63
I've owned this car since the end of August and for the most part love it. Without a doubt it's the most powerful, quickest, most aggressive car I've owned and that was before I had it tuned.
Mine is an 08 model so I understand it's not the newest kid on the block but even 2005/2006 model cars I've owned which were a third of the price new were more advanced in terms of a few of the electrics. What really shocks me is the following:
No reverse parking sensors?
No rear view camera? - even my brothers Nissan Maxima has that
No side mirror tilt when the car is in reverse?
The headbolt issue not being replaced / amended and just ignored
On another note, how many kms before you guys have to change your rear tires if pushing it 50% of the time?
Thanks

My car has all of those features, except the headbolt issue. You just need packages for all of them as in any car --especially european cars-- except the mirror tilt, which this car has stock and you need to set it when in reverse and leave your mirror button set to the passenger side mirror.
My 2007 Z4MC did not even have the mirror tilt.

We've tried setting the reverse through different dealers and no joy. I understand about packages but this is a Mercedes AMG. I used to have these options on standard 2006 Chevrolet Lumina, a 2009 Chrysler, a 2002 Ford Scorpio.... I would have thought an AMG comes with such simple stuff as reverse sensors and tilt reverse mirrors. Mine is a US spec imported from the US to Dubai.

Very few cars that year had the Reverse Parking Sensors. The Rear View camera and Tilt mirrors were not available options or part of any package for that MY. If you have the Multimedia package- you can add a rear view.
Your car is AMAZING! Don't give those items a second thought.

Flaws?
I think the C63 has two dynamic flaws from a driving satisfaction perspective - difficulty putting down power exiting corners for non-LSD equipped cars and poor response to manual shifting. The first flaw is easy to solve. I don't think there's anything that can be done for the second.

My dad's 1990 735i had reverse mirror tilt. So did the base Altima I recently rented. Kind of silly mine didn't come with it either. Not a bid deal though, I just programmed my seat memory #2 to tilt the mirrors with all the same driver's settings.

Agree with the problem on putting the power down on the exits. The manual mode delay, is not a big deal IMO. I mean, comparing it against the C55's, is much quicker and seamless...
I wonder if the next C-AMG will come with a DCT tranny. That would be awesome.

my wife bananas! :D
There are no flaws to the C63. It is perfection.
what could be slightly improved are
- longevity to rear tires
- tendency to rattle and squeek
- noisy brakes

MCT transmission is the biggest flaw of the C63, same with the normal transmission in pre 12 cars.
I just read the other day the new E AMG will use MCT again... Sorry I am tried of the transmission, its ancient compared to the PDK,DCT transmissions. Having owned 2 AMG and loving the engine and ride compared to BMW, I really hate to say my next car wont be an AMG.

All the 09 MY C63 sold in the US do not have Keyless Go and Tilt mirror while these two features seemed to find their home in most C63 sold in Canada.
Sometimes, I just believe MBUSA is run by some dumba$$es

One of the 2012 C63s I test drove did not have HID headlamps....now that's something I can't quite fathom a car of this caliber not having. I could live with the other "flaws", even the MCT because the engine is so awesome, but the HIDs not being standard on a C63 is bananas IMO.
