The specs are insane and based on the standard C class not the C63. A twin Turbo V12 putting out 720 HP and 974 lb-ft and a top speed of 360 km/h makes this car insane!

You clearly have little knowledge about Dubai. 75% of the population are expats from the states, uk, canada, india, germany, australia, pakistan, south africa etc on salaries similar to their home countries. The most common cars are Nissan Tiida's, sunny's, corollas etc. A Camry, Altima and Accord are cars people love so a comment about no one wanting an entry level Amg holds no merit. Why would you think only the most amazing cars are owned over here? Cause people don't film the lower entry models or take photos of them and post them? People who own c63s out here (generally speaking) could buy a 2013 911 turbo without worries but they buy the car for what it is - a piece of art.

I didn't realise this rumour was still floating around mate - it was gold chrome wrapped and not gold plated. Chrome wraps are now illegal over here so very hard to find these cars these days.

First thanks for sharing. Not to everyone's taste but that is what customization is all about.
I personally lover the matte SL65, Blue SLR (without the wing), blue SLS.
The chrome SLR is a big WOW but a bit too flashy but still well done.
What is that white SLR with weird front end and LEDs?

Why are chrome wraps illegal? too much glare?
If one would go on vacation there, when would be the best time and are there car shows that a car buff would not want to miss?

That SLR is a Feb Design creation - however a limited edition and only 15 of them were produced in total.


Yep, too much glare and too much reflection with the sun out here so caused a few issues for other drivers.

With regards to car shows, there's not too many to be honest. Just the standard ones like the Detroit, Paris and Geneva Motorshows but that happens in November.

You will see plenty of cars though on the weekend of a night time. There's one strip out here which is around 3kms in length, it's kind of like Venice Beach, Hollywood Boulevard or the likes (well not the same but you get my point). Everyone goes there for coffees, lunch and dinner outside and just to chill and shop. The most amazing cars can all be seen cruising there of a weekend.

Then of course there's Al Awir - a car souk with hundreds of shops selling cars all in the same area. There you will see cars you never even knew existed before.
