hey, fung ... thanks for the confirmation. stupid question, but do carbon patterns differ that greatly to make a difference? i am going to get the vorsteiner front spoiler, but the jl-motoring big fins diffuser and possibly their DTM wing. anyone here have any insights as to the CF pattern on these items? i definitely like the MC wing, but the JL one is cheaper. and apologies in advance if this constitutes thread-jacking.

Why don't you go with Mode Carbon, for a mere $60 you will be guaranteed fitment and a perfect pin straight weave. They also have unbeatable customer service! From my experience, JL motoring pieces are carbon fiber overlay and the weave is usually pretty wavey. Expect perfect straight weave from both MC and Vorsteiner. Trust me it's worth the difference in price as quality will be significantly better along with better longevity with the mode carbon pieces.

This thread is funny.. the difference in money is so little between 1 or 20 ppl group buy.

I dunno, but for my case, I'm so impatient when comes to ordering parts I want.. I would just do it w/o the group buy.. Unless shipping to Canada could be lowered with the group buy but it doesn't seem to be an option here.

I'm not familiar with JL's cf weave.. but yes the cf weave does make a difference. if you end up with a spoiler going from left to right and your diffuser from right to left,... it'll look odd. and if the thickness of the cf is greatly different too. makes your car look amateurish

Yes agreed, very little difference in number of ppl in group buy. Waiting for Mode Carbon to adjust the deal, so it can be more appealing. At least for ppl in Canada.... seeing there is so much interest for ppl in Canada

Unfortunately (or fortunately, rather I should say), our pricing is already very competitive given the quality of the pieces that we sell. We wanted it this way from the get-go because we wanted to be able to offer the forum community top quality carbon fiber without having to pay an arm and a leg. However, the downside of this is that it does not allow us to offer huge discounts when it comes to sales and group buys.

For those of you in the US: please keep in mind that the price you see includes shipping, so count that as a part of your savings in addition to the (albeit) small discount off MSRP.

To those of you in Canada: we are currently looking into having a bunch of spoilers shipped to our distributor Underground Performance in Toronto, and having them shipped out from there or available for pickup so that there doesn't have to be an additional shipping fee. We will keep you updated!

I hope that this clarifies some of the confusion. We are working on making this more of an attractive deal. Enjoy the rest of your weekend everyone!
