Weird, car felt sluggish and shuddered while stopped
I'm sure there's a thread describing this, but I can't search well on an iPhone. I've been driving my car all afternoon (at least 50 miles so far) and parked for some quick sushi. We were there for less than an hour and started it up to go to dessert. The car wasn't as loud at startup as it usually is and it didn't want to go. Limp mode popped into my head because a CEL came up on the dash. When I came to a stop to turn the corner, the whole car started shaking.
Shut it off and everything is back to normal, no more CEL.
Ideas? I'll obviously take it in tomorrow to see if a code stored, but had anyone heard or read about this? I'll be back at my laptop in an hour.

Same thing happened to me twice. I ended up getting a more permanent CEL regarding the intake manifold gaskets/bolts. Forget what the code ended up being, a lean code I think. Did your gaskets/bolts for the intake manifold ever get replaced under warranty?

No, nothing that has raised suspicion to replace them yet. My body shop's OBDII couldn't find any stored codes. At my dealership now to see if they find anything. It has been driving fine since I restarted the car. I wonder if my hardwire installation of the dashcam could've freaked out the electrical system.

I can't remember if I've had the plugs replaced or not. I'll have to dig through my file of service records. Would that be an intermittent issue? This is the first and only time I've felt anything like this.
For the record I didn't notice any changes in temps. Still at MB waiting to get word. Obviously my first thought was "DREADED HEADBOLT ISSUE!"

Sluggish starts or intermittent moving is mostly likely always due to air, firing, or battery.
1. If there is an air filter leak. Have you recently messed with the air box? This is a classic sluggish cause...
2. If you leave car in rain for too long or many many days sometimes you can have water damage or moisture damage to wires circuit (doubt this is you)
3. Battery-new or old. These cars (almost all modern cars( EVERYTHING is electric and depends on battery
4. Firing...if you haven't changed plugs, that could be the issue
Even if you lost coolant, car would fire up but be sluggish after about 20 mins or so as engine really heats up...did you see blue smoke or smell a coolant burn smell?
Recent oil change? Too much oil will also do this...

Nope.

Haven't checked the battery, but no service has indicated anything. Plus, I'm pretty sure this was covered in the PPI a year ago.

Not sure.

I've had 2 oil changes since I've owned this car and each time, I have to add a quart in between services to bring the level up. I added a quart 2 weeks ago when the level was low. Don't know what the level is today, but I'll check as soon as I get the car back.

Here's the update:
Fault code was that several cylinders misfired due to "low fuel level", which is very odd because it says I was at 36% of my tank...not even close for the fuel light to kick in. They had no explanation for why the fuel cutoff kicked in.
I'm glad this wasn't anything major, but it was still super weird.

Otherwise, outside of warranty, it would have been an $8k repair job... ouch..

You might want to keep an eye on that... about 3 months ago (under warranty fortunately), I had both the low and high pressure fuel pumps replaced (took about 3 weeks to get the parts from Germany).

I think i had a similar issue to you. Car started to feel low on power, engine ran rough, when I came to a stop the car eventually died on me. restarted then would stall. waited a while finally was able to get it to restart ran very slowly and rough.
I was freaking out since I had a tune and thought maybe the motor got messed up.. Turned out to be an exhaust sensor for emissions. Hopefully its something similar, but I felt it was stupid for the engine computer to behave this way over a minor issue IMO.
I can try and dig up the paper work when I get home from work tonight if you would like, to find the exact code and sensor that was replaced. You might be able to use a simple OB2 plug in and confirm.

8k wowzers. Price on the pumps is about $800 for both.
They are easily accessed below the back seat.
Another cause of rough running is the O2 sensors... They don't last forever and when they go bad, it starts sending false info to the ECU which can cause the mixture to go lean/rich and run like crap.
