I'm in NY, Brooklyn to be exact though my work takes me all over NYC, and it's not impossible to own a car here just annoying. You can't just drive around aimlessly not knowing where construction is going on or where the bad roads are with a car like a C63 unless you like causing damage to your wheels, tires, suspension, alignment, paint, lights, and windshield. That said there are good roads where you can enjoy a high performance car without too much concern. Not to mention there are some excellent scenic and driving roads in NY just north and east of the city.
But if I had my way, NY is not where I would be. In the future when family obligations no longer keep me bound to NYC I'm going someplace warmer and hopefully more tax friendly lol

Raven, I had a Shelby GT 500 before my C63 as well. What was your reasons for selling? I did not like the car at all. Kept for only 2 tanks of gas.
Previous cars:
2011 Shelby GT 500 ( sold for C63)
2007 Cadillac XLR-V ( 1 of 410 made in 2007) Still have
2008 Lexus ES 350 ( wifes ride)
2005 350Z
1999 E55 (still own, one of my most favorite rides)
1969 Chevrolet Kingswood Wagon ( numbers matching 427, lowered on 20" wheels) still own
2001 Mustang Cobra ( supercharged 550 HP)
Many many more, list too long publish....Note my name KARKRZY

I just wanted something that was a little more practical but could keep up, and the C63 had always been a favorite of mine.
The GT500 was a real beast though, it was strictly a summer car and would go away for the winter... the C63 I have no problem driving through snow or bad weather, easier to toss around and much more compliant.

This goes off topic but to you guys who are living/have lived in new york, is it virtually impossible to own a car there? If i'd move to the states NY would be first on the list. Cali second. I am not however going to give up being a car enthusiast to live somewhere :P yes, they are that important...
After a while, this friend moved his M3 across the Hudson River to be parked for $200/month at a parking garage in Jersey City or Hoboken. He came over to drive it once or twice a month just to make sure the battery stayed alive. I believe he disconnected the battery terminal meanwhile.

My buddy's dad has a penthouse across from Carnegie Hall that overlooks Central Park. I have never seen a nicer NYC Apt parking garage (and I have seen a lot of them)...each apt owner had a bigger and more spacious section than most suburban house 3/4 car garages. Maybe that portion of the garage was only for the penthouse owners, not sure (there was 3 of them, but since then I think my buddy's dad bought out one of them and expanded his into a gigantic apt, thereby also doubling the space of his parking garage). Funniest part is he only has one car and rarely uses it.
