Defeat!
This morning my C63 met her match after we had a bad snowstorm here in the Toronto Area. I pulled out of the driveway fine but then when I get to the back corner I have to change from reverse to drive and thats where it happened -Orange traction light and ridiculous wheel spin. I tried everything Traction settings, Manual mode, I then went to dig her out (not shown in the picture). I dug and dug and was able to move the car a little but it ultimately got stuck again. The snow is too high for the clearance of the car. Well disappointment aside, I was lucky enough to borrow my mother's Range Rover to get to work (which is an absolute animal in the snow). At lunch I will be taking our bobcat from work to home to plow the driveway and dig out my AMG!

Well, if the snow height exceeds the ride height, then no matter what you drive, your not going anywhere, unless you have some seriously wide tires with studs and spikes.. and maybe some snow chains.. with an anti gravity generator

C63 AMG
I got beached on my Pirelli winter tires today too. I think the weak link was the tires in my case....
kind of miss the Audi on days like this.

LSD will make your life a bit easier, but no match to AWD and higher clearance... I still have one Quaife LSD left and 5 more coming (price will be slightly higher on the new shipment).

Unfortunately, living on the coast where the snow is often wet (rather than fluffy) and there are lots of hills, it can be a challenge sometimes. If I lived closer to central Canada where things are a little flatter it would be much better.

It does but HP and RWD, even with the LSD, it is just OK. Drive up a hill with 3" of wet snow on the ground... stop mid hill and try to get going again. Even with an LSD, it's a challenge. You can do it but it is frustrating and a pain in the a$$ IMO. I drive the C63 every day but on days with a couple of inches or more of wet snow and it stays in the garage and I drive the wife's 4WD. If it is nice fluffy snow, no problem (or much better anyway).

Its my daily driver / winter car and we got slammed with almost 18 inches here in north jersey/new york and the evoque was an absolute beast ! i had it in snow mode with the traction off uphills and the things was unstoppable i was plowing into snow banks to try to get it stuck and it just wouldnt stop i was very surprised. Had a buddy with a ford raptor just incase i got stuck following me but the thing was unstoppable very good awd drive system that reacts so quickly

I had a completely different experience...
I was fine driving the car all day yesterday. Drove downtown in the morning (8am) for a meeting, back to Markham (noon) to the office and then home (8pm)
Smooth sailing. The C63 is a monster in the snow... I didn't even raise it for the winter hahahaha.
