So car wont start??
Drove it all weekend and it was running fine. Then today drove to the gas station, went inside for a few mins to get some stuff, came out and car just wont start. I do have power for the radio but none for the windows and ignition. Any ideas??
Tried to jump start but yeah didnt work...i dont think batt is the problem. Getting it tow to my mechanic tomorrow.

If your battery drops below 10.5 volts the computer wont allow it to crank the engine over... there will still be lots of power left to run the radio... recently have you noticed any of your preset features loosing there memory?
You can go in dyno mode and check the voltage on your battery.
However if you tried to jump it and that didn't work something else might be wrong it should start with a jump.

Jumping our cars off anything other then another V8 is a painful experience. If it was a V8, well then I do not know.
I know when I got back from a business trip my car was dead at the airport, radio worked, but nothing else did (has to use the blade to just unlock it, the remote did not work).
When assistance showed up (I told them I had a V8), they had a V6 pickup truck with one of those jumper packs that did nothing. The guy ended up hooking up regular jumper cables to his truck, and sat revving the engine for 20 or 30 minutes before I was able to crank the engine and start it (also.. the noise it made in the covered garage was insane when it did start up...)

So i went back this morning with the tow truck, the guy said the same thing if i tried to jump start with just a regular car. I said yes, he said let him try with his truck and that it has a lot more juice than a regular car. Well still didn't work. Radio works but none of the lights or anything else is working. It's in the shop right now. They will scan it and see what the problem is. i'm hoping it's nothing crazy, i'm out of warranty : \

It won't be the key, as the OP noted that the radio turns on, which means the key authenticated to the vehicle just fine. It is not a matter of varying levels of current in the key, its digital, either it works, or it won't. Not half and half.

Sounds like a bad ignition module.. Hope u get it fixed at low cost! And all this issues I've been reading on the forum lately makes me think again about buying the xtended warranty.

I suspect with the ignition parts, no matter who installs it, your going to have to take it to MB to code the keys. Otherwise, I do not see why they would not sell the part to you.

I had the same issue covered under warranty and I have a long thread about it in here somewhere. The SA said it was a very difficult job to replace the module because of the location in the steering column. They also told me that it affects MANY cars and not just C63's. The road side assistance driver said he had seen about a dozen cars with the same problem. You might be able to appeal for coverage if this is a documented chronic problem. Look up my thread because I posted info from the repair order.
Now how do i go about doing the appeal for coverage thing? any ideas where i can start?

Do you have the part number, I can check with my dealer (I have a good relationship with the parts dep manager) in Annapolis, they also do mail order via getmercedesparts.com. They have a bunch of ignition parts listed on the web site when you search for the keyword ignition...

Anyways i called MBUSA and asked bout an appeal for coverage and what i need to do. lets just say she wasn't very pleasant to talk with. Basically they said they will call me back. So yeah i'm not sure if that will go anywhere.

Had the same problem, after owning the car for around a month, a let down. They had to replace the whole thing, which they imported from Germany, (I'm in South Africa)after waiting 3 days, took them another 2 days to code it or something. Quite annoying, is a common problem, which they don't seem to have fixed. Call out guy said happens often on the c class but he hasn't seen it on a amg, I was the first.
