Question Diffuser Options

So, I am in the market for a CF Diffuser and searching Google doesn't really help to much.

I am looking to stay relatively close to OEM (nothing too crazy, though big fin would be nice). Also, I am hoping to keep it around $500. What do you guys suggest? Anyone selling anything?

Mode carbon big fin diffuser might fit the bill. Just pulled the plug on their bootlid spoiler through the group buy and now I want the diffuser. maybe we should start another group buy? :-p

i absolutely love the vorsteiner diffuser for the facelifted C63, but it is over $500.

Vorsteiner cf is top quality though. You know exactly what you're getting from them. I would know since I'm on my 3rd lip (not by choice).

you gotta stop curbing your car

but i agree... vorsteiner CF quality is superior.. but again you get what you pay for. for under $500.. the mode one is great (I have experience with both of them)

right I just think vendors are asking too much money for them...I have the rear spoiler and the quality is amazing. I just dont want to spend that much for a part thats close to the ground may get rock chips etc and my car is a DD

Haha, I guess it's better that it's something more serious than curbing that requires me to replace the lip. Otherwise I'd feel like a dunce.

CF Lips, i have no problem wearing a Chinese knock off upfront, since its gonna get beat to hell anyway. The CF diffuser, spend a bit more on. It wont see as much road debris and wont see as much sunlight so it wont fade. My Euroteck lasted 3 years on my E55 before I sold it. Still looked brand new.

thats a good point.. plus i guess the need to ensure the CF matched 100% wont be as high since it'll be far away from say the spoiler and diffuser (which would be quite obvious if those two didnt match)

Correct, unless you had a CF Grille or Hood. Then you might want to make sure your weaves are top notch.

$250 each time you get blasted by road debris, or $1500 your decision LOL

CoolBD ... i know you had to replace your lip due to an uneven road surface, but generally speaking, would you say the lip is pretty durable? and i think you said somewhere before that your car is a DD? i'm about to pull the trigger on the V lip, but i'd hate to have to replace it every year due to damage ...

Yes, it is very durable. My two incidents were colliding with road debris (which also scratched my rim and left deep marks in my side skirt) and that massive pothole (which ended up cracking a radiator support, bending a hood latch, cracking an engine side panel, and scratching my rim again). For the day-to-day stuff, it holds up well. My body shop guy still has yet to test out a clear rhino coating to see what that does to the strength.

This car is my DD and I'm also lowered on H&R coilovers. I've logged over 23k miles in just under a year of ownership.

Thanks guys! The Euroteck one and the Mode Carbon one are definitely viable options. I also had a question about the Vorsteiner one. I have a buddy of mine who had an 09 C63 and he had the Vorsteiner spoiler and diffuser on his and he took them off when he sold the car. I could probably get them for dirt cheap from him since he just wants to unload them and he said he has no problem practically giving them away. Anyway, I was just wondering if the diffusers are all the same or if the 2012+ are different?

I am 99% sure they're different. I'd check with Vorsteiner.

I like it! All depends on the group buy price!
