Quote: I have it wired to one fuse thats always on. I dont think the fuse is the issue for your short record time. If you dont already have one you should get a smart power device like the "power magic pro". i have a very similar device but this is the most popular one in the US. Just set the dip switches to configure the timer and its done.

I have that kit. I think I just need a different fuse. Can you take a picture of which one you're using? I'm wired to one of the fuses in the pink fuse box.

Really sorry to hear about that. That's in part why I wrapped my car completely. Have no idea what people will do to my car when I park it. I need to get me some Dr. Beasly's stuff.

Cameras!
I am going to see if there are other comparable options, and things that are more hidden away, I want HD, and night vision and maybe a camera that can cover each side of the car or maybe a motion sensing, zooming and following camera. . . . . but if this is the best, so be it. Thanks again for all this info!

Kind of like how those old polycom video conf systems did.

Just got back from HK and they have substantially more options for dash cams compared to the offerings here.

they are now playing with a 2 or 3 lens dash cam. so basically it is either mount the dash cam at the front and the camera records front and back or you get the other version that has lens on the corners so you position it to give you more than 180 degrees of recording .

this industry is still kind of new, I went with what will suffice now knowing in a couple of years, I will definitely replace because it'll be antique by then.

I had a lowlife egg my car recently - in an inner city upmarket suburb in Melbourne. They rubbed the egg in till it scratched the paint down to the white underneath and smeared the egg from the front light all down the side of the drivers door. Total losers out there. Made me so angry.

IIRC, egged cars need a repaint. There will always be a mark left apparently.

That sucks.

My c63 was keyed, pass front fender at Walmart parking lot first week I had it. $480 paint job, guy at the dealership commented, "So, you got in an accident already?" When he noticed the paint job.

I've definitely had a few haters but mostly because of my age, been driving z06 vettes since I was 18 and for sure and 18 year old pulling up in a z06 corvette, lots of stares and neck breaking, I mean it's just a vette not like a Ferrari or anything (lots of story's though borrowing friends exotics, Gallardos, Murcielago and 2 360 cs; both modded with tubi III and then straights with deleted cats, story's for another time though) I'm 27 now but still look 23, mostly just a lot of wtf do u do, how much was it (I hate money questions) yadda yadda but I'm also kinda tatted up too. You would be surprised to know what it is I actually do. But for the most part I get a lot of thumbs up and compliments, the car is pretty decently moddified, kw varient 3s, stance low, HRE p41's grey, blacked light front and rear, blacked grill with black emblems and turn signals with painted black trim around windows ettc. Renntech intake mani/intake, x pipe and high flow cats... A lot of compliments, especially since I never see my car how others do, I always think there could be more done or I need something else.. My own worst critic but I've always been like that. I've heard some hating though, especially at car shows, you don't like me/my car then feel free to leave my vicinity. Most of all though people approve. I can empathize too though.

Do people ask you if you're a drug dealer? Lots of people think I'm a dealer or involved in crime... It's annoying.

Well, someone at the adjacent shop dented my door today. Just out of sight from the cameras. Not too happy! Only $125 to fix, but it's the principle that gets me. Someone who I talk to at least once a week is guilty of hurting my baby!

when i first bought my c63 at 23 the kind of looks id get were hilarious, i look like im 16 still (just taller and heaiver) so people assume I'm some young 18ish year old coke dealer I've heard, it's good though my friend has a new range rover sport on 26s (we're in the same industry IT) and everyone thinks he makes millions a day doing **** videos online which is about as far from the truth as you can go...trust me the stuff ive heard come out of peoples mouths has made me really wonder how majority of humans actually survive in the real world but then again...I guess majority of people barely get by

if people hate, let em and watch the money pile up, because in 20 years when you've accomplished all your dreams they'll still be living that same lame *** lifestyle, still complaining, still wondering how you are such a bo$$

Oh they weren't working on it. I'm a brand specialist at the one shop. I park out back because I'm usually between a decrepit van that hasn't moved in 10 years, and a various porsche (the spot beside me is used by the porsche shop beside us).

Now I'm thinking it may have been my neighbour who parks adjacent to me in my condo complex. Of coarse my spot is obstructed in the camera, so I'm not sure.

At this point I'm just kind of biting it and paying out of pocket.
