I'm currently at 5/32 on my rears, how many miles can I expect to have left?

How many 32nd did they start out with?
How many miles since tires where put on?

From there its simple math.

Well I just picked the car up a bit ago, so I'm not sure. I'm on the OEM Pirelli's.. Hope someone can chime in. I'd say I'm between 5-6 / 32nd's.

Yeah, I heard 2/32 is the wear indicators, and you should really replace before.. I'm wondering if I can put around 800 miles on these safely left..

Just use common sense and if you are at the wear bars make sure to keep your eye on them.

I wouldn't say it's so much about being legal or not. Fronts are kind of OK but if you're tires are worn on the rear, then you're not gripping properly and it can turn your car from an M3 killer into a Golf R loser
