Help.....P2187

I got an intermitant cell light with the following code and message:

* 0745 - Self-adaption of mixture formulation for enrichment at idle for the right cylinder bank is above the permissible limit (P2187)

Any idea on the cause ? Is this the normal P2187 message ?

How are the MAFs if your filters are soaked with oil?

The filters broke apart??

Define "soaked in oil"

The mafs had oil spray on them, there was a small pool of oil in the filter housing more on the right side (uk drivers side ) than the left and the foam air filters were covered in it, to the point you could actually see the oil on the filter, as if over time the oil had been seeping through.

The filters had broke apart at the seems luckily all parts ere accounted for and none got sucked into the intake,

The oil looked like clean engine oil, very strange as to where this has come from, the car isnt burning oil any more than the norm and the air filters were dry foam filters by piper cross,

Ive taken them out binned the filters and cleaned all the housing abd MAFs ... awating arrival of stock filters tomorrow to use

Your right bank is running too rich on idle start up. Could be MAF not reading properly.

Curious why you have oil in the air box....
