Thumbs up

jonny j.....G'Day from Aus.
Amazing.....we had a RS Focus too...P.B. nice car....VERY fast.....but it ain't gonna compare to a C63.
When you enter the "World" of AMG, you will find that it truly is, a different "World".
Don't get me wrong, the RSs was an amazing car, once on the move, that second & third gear acceleration is awesome isn't it?...So, a great little car...I find it hard to imagine that any future RS will be better....'cause it won't have that amazing 5 pot engine.
I will eagerly await your C63 impressions?
Cheers, Pickles.

Yes, it is standard..it is the P31 version with 487HP, so it's plenty for us, particularly in "Nanny State" Victoria, where most roads have a 100KPH (60MPH) limit.
Cheers, Pickles.

Half the guys on here will not even know what an RS is, they do not sell them here in the states, the only Focus we get is the slow high fuel economy boring grandma version. Back in the 80s Ford trying selling Cosworth Sierra here under a new brand name called Merkur, they flopped here but it was an amazing car. Us Americans like big loud muscle V8s, the turbo rally type cars never really hit it off here with the slight exception of recent Sti's and Evo's.

You will love the C 63 but if the rally car thing floats your boat why not try to get your hands on a new AMG A45? That is going to be an amazing car, and again, it is not available in the states.

RS's are rare in the US. All my life I think I can count the sightings on one hand.

I concur! 1500 will be sold in 3 years. I have'nt driven one but i like the interior of my A5 more. Much more gorgeous than the the C63 coupe which resembles the accord coupe from some angles. But the RS5 lacks the torque at the bottom.

Edit: he isnt talking abt the Rs5

RS5?....That is an Audi is it not?
The RS we are talking about is a Ford.....VERY special small car, based on a 3 door Ford Focus....5 cyl turbo Volvo engine..224KW, 440NM, 6M, packaged designed & built by Ford Team RS, and built in a special production facility in Germany.
It's a very limited edition car, I think only around 11000 were built (only 315 came to Aus!). The Volvo engine has enormous potential....bigger turbos, exhaust etc can see 400KW+
Cheers, Pickles.

C63, C55 (Sold)
I had a WRX and STi before owning a C55, and now a C63. Subbies were excellent dancers on tight turns and the grip they had on rainy days were excellent too. However I was annoyed by the turbo lag they had. A N/A engine feels more direct, with instant kick and great powerband. As C63philly explained, those are totally different cars (subbies and AMGs). Heck, even the C63 feels very different than the C55: C55s have understeer, and C63's are more agile on turn in, and turn out (watch for the wheelspin!). You will notice more difference on the highway, since AWDs like the subbies usually feel underpowered at 80+ MPH. AMG stability and agility at high speeds are awesome.
