is it possible to rewire the cig dc adapter to always have power?

is it possible to rewire the cig dc adapter to always have power?
i'd like to somehow mod one of the dc plugs to always be powered. any ideas how i would go about this?

The best way is the go straight to the fuse box/battery in the trunk. If you tap into other sources in front, you risk damaging other electronics.

If you need a cigarette lighter socket socket always be on, you should purchase an aftermarket socket and connected it to the battery with a fuse. It's much easier than rewiring the front cig and the dealer can't blame you for electrical warranty problems
