I actually tried to pull the OEM covers out, but trust me it's on tight. I was hoping to remove the glass mirrors first. Anyone done it this way?
I did it glass first for my driver's side mirror and then as per the video for the passenger side.
The covers are just on extremely tight... do as the video says and pull the bottom part of the cover out a little and then you'll need to use some strength to pull the whole cover upwards.
It will feel as though if you applied anymore force it will break... but it won't.
