From what I understand (since I don't own one yet), it technically doesn't make your car 'accelerate' faster. It simply amps up the initial voltage on the drive-by-wire pedal, thus allowing you to reach a higher throttle response faster. For example, say you have your foot down 1/4 of the way down; with the SprintBooster (or PedalBox) that same 1/4 of the way down would equate to having the pedal 1/2 way down (an example, not exact fractions). I hope this clarifies things.
In terms of being worth it, it depends on person to person (as most things are). Some people really hate the drive-by-wire lag. Personally, I hate the lag too. But what I think makes it worth it is that allows conservative drivers to make their car faster without actually being faster. If you think about it, our engines are fast as hell already. Having the lag eliminated simply allows you to 'feel' the speed faster.

LOL
I can't believe you haven't tuned it yet....should be every owner's first step!
You have not experienced your C63 until you load a tune file.
We look forward to hearing your impressions!
Will be the best value for dollar of your life.
JUST DO IT!
And BTW, if you need help rationalizing the spend for yourself, the tunes improve gas mileage.
Cognitive dissonance is a beautiful thing!

So will this tune have a significant impact on a 2011 C63 with the p31 package, that is otherwise stock? If so, sign me up! How can I get my hands on it since I am in Canada? I don't have a clue about how to install it and stuff, so will need help!

Hi guys I just picked up a 2013 c63 sedan with pp.
2 questions here:
1) will this ecu tune void warranty? can it be easily removed if I want to send the car in for service. Will they detect it?
2) this sprint booster. same question. warranty? removable? detectable?
Where can I buy both. Toronto, Ontario.
Thanks

1b: You'd need a hand-held programmer to remove the tune and re-flash the OEM map
1c: Depends on how hard they want to look for it. While the tune itself will be OEM, some cars have a flash counter on the ECU that shows how many times it has been reprogrammed. Also, it then takes the ECU a certain number of time (miles) to re-learn and reset a bunch of internal parameters, which could take a few weeks of driving. Google "emissions readiness monitors".
Dealer probably wouldn't look unless there is a serious engine failure, but if there is and they need to find out why the motor grenaded itself, I can pretty much assure you that it will be found.
2: Save your $300 and press more on the gas pedal. Can't believe people are still falling for this $h!t.

Huh?!
I don't usually do this but here is the screen shot from the customers email yesterday. A forum is a place for sharing experiences whether good or bad, people should not have to be worried about posting their experiences because they have to think about you trolling their posts. At the end everyone here is an enthusiasts, lighten up a bit. If you want to discuss anything feel free to give us a call.
Thanks for the false accusation Guilty, all the best and enjoy your car in good health.
