Car automatically shuts off in P

Had this happen a couple times now...I pull into the parking spot and shift into P and the car shuts off right away? Has anyone had this happen? It happened to me today and a couple times before( but not close to each other)....i wonder what could be wrong. No lights or anything.

Ok so if you push stop start while in gear, but stopped, does the car shut off?
I am thinking the button is activated somehow while you're driving but the car ignores per design. As soon as in park, it responds to the already activated button.

^Then it would happen all the time. This used to happen to me in a different car and the culprit was camshaft positioning sensors. Shot in the dark

maybe it activated sometimes? I remember my car having some electrical issues (although dealer said it was some bad wiring)

hmm how do you check for that sensor?
