My CLS550 would not start after I stopped at a store. Had to call roadside assistance. When the guy showed up, he had me lock, and unlock my doors a couple of times using the key fob. I got back in, and it fired right up. He said it had something to do with the security system, and locking and unlocking the car somehow reset it. It worked for me.

OK guys this just happen to me. Went to the gym, came out a couple hours later and car would not turn over. Alarm,gauge cluster and radio still works but when putting the key in the steering wheel doesn't unlock and nothing happens when turning the key. Problem is the car is about 30 miles from my dealer so it will be an expensive tow.
This happened on Friday so Mon (without doing research) I ordered new keys thinking I dropped my key and now the car wasn't about the read the key fob sensor. Well got the keys yesterday and car still wont start
