That I don't know yet but, it is a very good question, on my GM cars I always did, not too sure where ARH mounted the bungs on these though.

Headers installed, currently getting fab work from the mid pipe to the muffler, we had to remove the existing Borla X-pipe, it was a choking point as it's diameter was not as large as the ARH piping.

Sincity, I did need the O2 extensions, in usual ARH fashion, they were provided in a separate box.

Fitment looks to be top notch, I'm happy with the way it turned out, although I've yet to hear it, I'd rather wait until it is 100% complete on the above step before taking a listen.

We're having to wait until Monday on EC to do the TCU tuning, the valve body was removed and taken to their shop but, their tuner evidently extended his vacation time so we must wait for his return on Monday (this cost me an additional $25 due to the torque bolts used to replace the valve body prematurely so that we can finish the exhaust up) I'll now need another set of bolts in order to reinstall the valve body again.

I'll try to get it on the dyno after the exhaust is complete and before the final ECU tune just so that we can keep up with the numbers game on individual mods. After that, I have to get the car back to EC to have it flashed for the headers.

ARH makes very nice headers. I used them on my C6. Fit was perfect, sounded great and gave the car some extra power. I wish ARH made headers for my SL, I'd have a set.

I hope this answers your question, just a simple google search result from camaroz28 forum. Typically, with non catted mid pipes, we would omit the sensors or at least turn them off in the tune.

Starting in 1996, there are both pre-cat and after-cat O2 sensors. You have to keep the pre-cat sensors, which would typically be installed in the header collectors or the Y-pipe. Those are what the PCM uses for closed loop A/F ratio control. The after-cat sensors are only there to monitor the cat performance, and those can be eliminated. You would have to replace them with "O2 sims", or have the after-cat O2 sensors "programmed out" of the PCM, or you will be staring at an SES light and have some codes.

All headers for modern vehicles typically have O2 bungs in the collector or just following the collector. I even have them on my 1974 Bronco. I converted it to EFI and have three on it. One is a wide band with a gauge in the cab so I can monitor the AFR and to assist in tuning the ECU.

I find it ridiculous that must vendors here are asking up wards of $3k for a set of headers. They are obviously taking advantage of what is higher income clientèle. ARH makes one of the best headers on the market, period. Their prices are higher than Hooker and that type of vendor, but the quality is at the very least as good as these multi-thousand dollar headers.

I hear ya, I think I paid 499 for the headers on my 04 Cobra, then an additional 400 for Catted mid-pipes, the price is ridiculous. Hell, I've currently paid close to a grand for a tune from eurocharged which is very good, but "SCT/Diablo" are far better than the "mygenious" stuff we are forced to use with these cars.

Looks like you're only reading mixture levels from one cylinder on each bank.

Those angled bungs should be pointed with the flow, not into it in my experience.

That should sound just amazing! Looking forward to the sound clip, it should be way better sounding then the catless midpipe without x-pipe that is to loud IMO.

I know I know, it's freakishly loud, especially on cold start. I just haven't recorded it yet. We did video the last dyno session (not processed yet) and I did the Powercruise (http://www.powercruise.com/?country=us) event this weekend too, two different videographers from http://www.1320video.com/ rode with me so hopefully I will have some footage soon.

The C63 is definitely a whole lot faster than I thought it was, the street and track speeds are so much different and the car handles awesomely. However, my brand new tires (Nitto NT05) did not last too long, and I gave the brakes hell too but, I was able to out drag most of the cars there, Z06's, a viper, camaros, mustangs, Gt500, Roush and a few others. I gave a friend a ride for maybe 20 minutes, I made him sick to his stomach, I was hauling the mail and even managed to lap a couple cars, although, I doubt everyone was driving the same way I was, I was having the time of my life in a car and wasn't slowing down.

Still very loud? I thought having a CAT and an X would tame the sound somewhat.

If you guys are on Facebook, here is a little video from Saturday, you can hear the C over the viper (chase car) and other cars throughout the video. I ended up passing up the 1000whp awd SRT8 Jeep and finally got him to race me down one of the straights on the road course.

Yes it's extremely loud, I had to rid the X pipe as it was smaller in diameter (a choking point) also it didn't line up too well with the ARH mids, they are catted but, the cats are only about 6" long and pretty much useless (200 cel cats IIRC) so we have straight pipes. I am thinking about doing a custom X pipe tho.

Sorry sin, you're correct; when I bought the car, it had a Borla X pipe on it already, that is the one we nixed for straight pipe, the pic above is how it is now.

Ok, still looking to hear a C63 with L/T headers, X-pipe and cats. That would sound just perfect. Can't find any clip on Youtube though.

You can buy headers for a Honda for $150 new(OBX , megan racing)...it all the depends what you want.
It is all about the demand and the market. Cobra engines there are many, C63 AMG not that many. I had a C63 and I paid for my MHP LTH and I knew I was paying more that what they really cost.
I paid $1700 for a set of LTH from LGmotorsports on my 08 Z06 and I thought they were expensive back then...little I knew the C63 were going to cost more. Like I said, it is all about the exclusivity of the car, the materials and the demand.

We have recently been in contact directly with the owner on 2 fitment issues, it turns out that the headers that we were sent are actually for the CLS63. The main fitment issue is with one of the primary tubes on the right side touching the fire wall, it is causing some vibration and noise coming in the cabin from the dash area. ARH is awaiting some "redesigned measurements" from us so that they can make the proper adjustments to the right side header/primary tubes.

It is highly likely that I will get a new header for the right side in order to remedy the issue, ARH have been extremely willing to play and helpful in this matter. Otherwise, the headers are as always, awesome, standard, top notch equipment from American Racing Header co.

So to answer your question above, not just yet, I will update as we get things figured out and squared away.
