Another passing of a Great person within our industry
It is with great sadness I must report that Harvey J. Crane, Jr., founder of Crane Cams and a world recognized authority in the field of cam lobe design, died this morning, Friday, May 31, 2013. Harvey would have been 82 this August. He passed quietly and peacefully, in the hospital, in Gainesville, Florida.

Damn. The Fireball Cam.
That is indeed yet another step towards the end of an era. Big blocks, Holley 750 double pumpers and Fireball cams. A time when you had to actually be able to drive, cos there weren't any electronic nannies keeping you from spinning out your 'light in the backside" Chevelle SS every time you dropped the hammer. A time when men were men, and the women were damn glad of it. I think its safe to say that a Crane equipped car has torn up every track in North America at some point. Thats a heck of an accomplishment.
