Hi guys! My factory warranty is about to expire. Before I go to MB to look for an extension, can you guys give some feedback on aftermarket extended warranty programs? (like EasyCare, JM&A, etc.). Considering that my car is part of the batch that came with defective head bolts, it will be wise to maintain it under warranty (I plan to keep the beast for 2 more years, after the new C63 is released ).

Any advice?

3 year/75k mile warranty should run you upto 2600$. I say stick with MB ELW. when i bought mine, the finance guy never presented me the 3yr/75k option and i went with the costlier 3yr/135k option. i bought tire and wheel protection too and I am pretty sure I am going to return it.

I went yesterday to the dealership, and they offered 3yr/75k at $3.5k. Apparently, the $2.6k option is for non-AMG products (regular C classes and others).

Is the price reasonable? I still have some time to think about it, the warranty expires on 07/29/13.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe that the manufacturer warranty does not require me to pay a co-payment if something happens, right? Everything is free of charge?

I didn't get mines from my dealership because they jacked up the price big time when i tried to buy it a month ago. I got from Travis. Just e-mail him teastman@mbofelmbrook.com

Tell him you found him on mbworld.org. I paid 2850 for my 3yrs/75,000 miles.

And everything is free of charge if it's warranty related issue.

I got mine from the dealership. I went with the highest level of protection and paid a bit more. Good for my piece of mind.

I went with a Zuich warranty ..... a bit more expensive but worth every penny!
The cover everything you get from your OEM warranty and more. Plus you can take the car to ANY shop of your preference. Meaning I can take the car to a reputable speedshop and get Quality work as opposed to being a work order at MB.

Curious, what are the details of your Zurich warranty? Pricing, what's covered, length, deductible, etc?

Call the below. I bought my C63 warranty from him. 7 year 75k miles, $2600. He was FANTASTIC to deal with, no haggle, easy transaction!

Just bought a '11 C63 and got a quote from the dealership for an MB approved/recommended extended warranty for AMG cars of $3900 for unlimited time/100k additional miles from start date. Warranty covers same as OEM coverage but with no time limit. It can be added anytime during OEM warranty period.
