It will also list a serial number of the device. Shoot that over to sales@eurocharged.com
We will then send you over a config file.
Follow these steps to get it imported.
1. Unplug the MyGenius from the PC
2. Update the MyGenius software 3 times
3. Plug in the MyGenius and update the genius device…ignoring the errors.
4. Close the software
5. Open the software
6. Click on update – Import ABL from the TOP text menu.
7. Import the attached abl file
8. Run the mandatory update
Then you are free to send us the ID file. (we will take that and build your tune!)

Anyone got their handheld yet? while extracting the id file, I got stuck on several occasions and after doing some search, found that our cars dont 'read' the ecu. I have managed to pull out the file but I dont know if I have messed up or not since the instructions in the pdf are generic and different than what I saw on the handheld display.

Some ecu has been updated by the dealership, so u will have to send ur ecu to Eurocharged for reprogramming. The handheld device will not work on ur car.

2010 C63 AMG, 2009 ISF , 2002 L-Tuned IS300, 2011 ML350
Eurocharged was at a local meet few weeks ago, and they had 2 cars they couldn't flashed the ecu.. They had to cracked open 1 in order to tune it.. and the other member didn't want to open his ecu so he didn't get the tune.
You can PM that member for more details about the ecu updates from the dealership (?).. Here is his post:

My genius.fpf file is about 7 kb. Do others have same kind of file?

I wasn't pointing my statement to u sidv22, I was talking for some cases.. Not necessarily ur case. Lol Good luck!
Go mouse, crazy1eye is an 09 I think.. My friend who let EC cracked open his ecu is a 2012 coupe. I think what happens is sometimes when u bring ur car in for service at the dealership, they might or might not update ur ecu.. So no matter the year of the vehicles, just a matter of having any work done at the dealership that required them to play with ur ecu I think.
I'm no expert I'm this field, I will let EC explains why some cars can be flashed & some can't.

even though i ordered it last friday. Im hoping to have it tuned the same day.

Received my handheld yesterday and got it updated with the config file from Eurocharged (thanks Adam!). Ready to read the file from my car and send over, only issue is my car is being detailed + Opti-coated today. 
I pick it up tonight and will see how it goes when I'm back home.

send serial number and get a config file. use config file to update mygenius. connect OBD port and download *.fpf file. send file to EU and get V4 file in return. tune ur car with that file

Steps that I've done:
1- updated MyGenius client
2- Plug MyGenius to car
3- key in position 2
4- WORK > Identify
5- wait for bar to finish
6- key back to position 1
7- finish process
8- Unplug MyGenius from car
9- Open MyGenius client again
10- Click "Download from MyGenius"
11- save the file to desktop
12- my name was automatically named "MYGfile.fpf"
13- Then took a screen shot of "MyGenius Info" screen with all the serial numbers
14- Sent to Eurocharged thru Email
