How do you guys think the 2015 C63 would compare performance wise with the C63 Black Series 510 hp and the C63 507 hp, especially in a 0-60 time? This is all just guessing and discussing.

okay guys, i'm a little sad about the next C63.
let's recap:
according to this article:
http://www.worldcarfans.com/11401176...-revealing-spy
"Reports are indicating the new engine will deliver a minimum of 450 HP (I WOULD HOPE SO) (331 kW) and up to 500+ HP (368+ KW) when configured with the performance package (2014 507 ALREADY HAS 507 HP SO GIMME SOMETHING TO TALK ABOUT)."
1- the new engine would make no more hp than the NA 6.2 , 507 makes 507 hp
2- probably not that many more torques , maybe a little more down low in the rpm range with the turbos but not the same throttle response I guess
3- Still rear wheel drive. Ok for some guy down south that's great but in the north, 4wd gets the power down. 500 hp in a rear wheel drive sedan is really tough to put to the ground except on hot drag radials or at the very least in warm weather. 4wd much better when it snows and when it rains(often) and when it's cold in the spring and fall.
4- I don't see how the new motor could even come close to the exhaust sound of the 6.2 NA engine.
5- New c63 probably going to cost more.
6- new C63 shape is too feminine (curvy) IMO
Right now there is a few 2014 507 left in my area. Financing at 0.9% and four winter tires.
I'm starting to think 507

The car will be lighter, faster, have the electronic diff from the SLS, revised mapping for the tranny and have new technology.... plus you will easily put another 100hp with simply a tune....
If you wanna be one of those guys that buys the last year model right before the newer, better, faster comes out right after, then start rehearsing the justifications in your head as to why you didn't wait. Because it will be haunting you every time that 2015 pulls beside you and walks away.
Just sayin.....

If it's not faster then it would be a complete disappointment in my eyes. If BMW advertises 3.9 to 60 for the F80 M3(DCT) then I'd expect the 2015 c63 to surpass that. I could see MB advertise 3.7 but in reality be closer to 3.5 and an upper 11 1/4 mile.

A multi-piston brake caliper is superior (performance-wise) in every way.

'05 SL 55 Black/Black w/mods from Eurocharged/Kleemann/BuckheadImports
So how much horsepower will it have then?
So basically it will have in the low 500's horsepower 4.0 liter twin turbo direct injected V-8 with rear wheel drive and a DCT transmission? Should be a huge monster after a tune with headers and exhaust, etc?
The new M4 coupe is expected to be about a 3.5 second car before any tuning...for sure the upcoming Vishnu and Dinan ECU tuning for that car will push that closer to 3 flat easily...
so therefore the 2015 C63 should at least be a 3.5 second car right off the showroom floor bone stock...with headers, high flow cats/exhaust, and a proper ECU tune it should be a 3.0 flat car no problem....
Do you guys think some people who might not need a back seat might just be tempted to take that money and put it into a lightly used GT-R with some basic bolt on mods and be hitting 60 MPH in the low 2's? Or spend a little more and get the new Z06 which should be a 3.0 flat car stock, not including after a few good bolt on mods and a tune? Or the new Jaguar F-Type Coupe R, with a pulley and tune it should be 650+ HP and the same performance as a Z06 for the most part right?
And what about AWD? Will this be available at some point?

And it's looking like the MCT, not a DCT.

You can look at the new E63 with 550hp and see what's in line for the C63.
It looks like RWD, still the MCT, 4L V8 with right around 500hp. It can't be too much higher for the base model because there needs to be a performance version that has less than 550 hp; I really doubt they'd make a C with more HP than the E.
I would guess around 480hp for the base car with a performance version clocking in around 515hp. It can't be faster or more hp than the E63 because they don't want it to eat sales. Fuel economy will be much better to the point where the car can avoid the gas guzzler.

There is not enough traction to get close to 3.0sec flat. The difference between 3.5 and 3.0 is monumental. Pacts with the devil and manipulation of the laws of physics would be required.
Additionally. Gains from headers would be minimal on a turbo charged set up. The exhaust manifold is not longer the tight spot in the exhaust system. The turbos now are. Once you increase the exhaust housing on the turbos to allow my volume, then headers may or may not be needed.

Although delivery a yr from now is a bummer. Speed it up MB, at least give us some real pics so we wait vs bite on the other amazing vehicles being released.
