Porsche 911 Turbo S 2014! E63S 14, Audi S8 13, CLS63 12, E550 12, C63 09, all tuned
It is going to be a 4.0 liter twin turbo. The half of the engine is going to available soon in the CLA 45 AMG 2.0 liter turbo. So do the math, with a tune 680hp easy. Audi , 4.0 liter is already being tune to 640 HP.
A smaller lighter engine in the new C AMG with AWD will be a GTR killer at 25 k less money.

Heard recently in the MB R&D area:
"Hey Hans, have you been following the discussion about the new C63 on MBworld?"
"Ja, Kurt in fact I am in that forum under 3 different names, you should see the stuff I am posting"
"Me too Hans, do you think we should tell them, about the warp drive?"
"No Kurt, lets keep that as a surprise for the release!"
"Ja, that is very good idea"

Will gladly try to dig up where they state in an article that amg will be adapting awd but not on the c63 for reasoning of keeping it focused more on fun than the larger amg models.

I read that magazine article as well.
But, I think it's more logical to believe direct quotes from MB executives rather than magazine forecasts.
So, I believe the new C63 will get 4matic.
If not, I will be very disappointed and will be forced to buy a Audi S6 instead.

LOL - As you will be disappointed with 4matic, I don't want it - I want the C63 to remain RWD and be a more serious "sporty car". 4Matic will just make it heavier and I don't generally like AWD for performance cars (Lambo and 911T aside).

That is how it was.. they just introduced a dozen new vehicle versions. Looks like they're taking the GM approach of a car for every price point ![Stick Out Tongue](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/tongue.gif)
The power of the new c amg better be nothing short of breath taking. any dilution in terms of the predecessor or competition and ciao i say to MB until next time.

Pretty sure it is going to have a 4.0L bi-turbo V8 with the engine code designation M177. AMG Private lounge is your best source for news and facts, they publish news and information their first.

That's true i was told its a 4.0L Bi-Turbo with a turbo setup on top of the engine just like te M5 F10 set up and the Audi, and it will be 4matic

Although Moers admitted that all-wheel drive transmissions would play a more critical role in future AMG variants, following in the wheel tracks of the A45 and revised E63 which is available with Benz‘ 4Matic system in left-hand drive only, he confirmed the C63 AMG would remain a rear-driver only.
“C63 AMG is a more aggressive car,” he said.

Bi-turbo AWD, i'm in... I read though that Tobias Moers, heads of AMG team that it would not be AWD (but I hope it will):

This car is looking like it'll be too "bubbly" for my liking. I like sharp crisp lines on a car, not this futuristic bubbly nonsense that has taken over.

I would bet the farm that the new C AMG will be offered in AWD. There is a large market share in the northern climates that go exclusively Audi to have performace and AWD traction. It's a no brainer.

I'm probably going to be set on fire for saying this but I hope that AMG puts some focus on comfort with the new model. I have the standard suspension on my C63 and its just too tight, with little damping from the road. I'm hoping we get to see adjustable shocks/suspension so at least drivers have the choice. I sat in the back seats for the first time and drove through the city and the ride was absolutely atrocious. Loud and vibration and bumps everywhere. I'm sure your thinking to yourself well 'who cares, how's often do you drive in the back, and how often do you even have people back there?' But the reality is not very often but just last week a client was back there ans we actually had to pull over because he got nauseous. After being in the back seat the other night, now understand why....
That being said, please keep the exhaust note!!!!
