noisy fuel pump? (videos inside)
all, I recently made a whining / ticking noise thread and tried updating it but could not find the edit button so apologies for creating a second thread.
so having monitored the issue further.. here's the situation. I hear a whining noise coming from the rear passenger side of the car when the fuel is < half full.. sometimes more sometimes less.
the noise is audible at idle and the frequency of the whirring / mechanical thudding varies with throttle input. at speed, the noise becomes inaudible then comes back. cold start, warm start, having driven the car doesnt make a difference. the only way the sound goes away is to fill up the tank.
so with all of this, i'm suspecting it is a fuel pump / fuel delivery related issue. is it an issue though? i don't recall hearing this before until now which is why i'd like a second opinion.
FYI the car is a 2013 sedan, LSD, non-P31 with ~ 5K miles.
